Worries overwhelms you as you try to breathe
It like when you're screaming but you just can scream
Breathing becomes difficult
Suffocation sets in
You start to panic
"This is the end"You're underwater but you can't come up
Your stomach lurches you're out of luck
You can't handle the stress you don't know why
Among all of this, all you can think to do is cry.So the lump of tears grasps your throat
You have to leave you have to go
You're worried and you WISH you knew why
But that's the thing about this it feels as though you're gonna die!You know you won't and you know you'll be fine
but until confirmation You can't help but whine
You're drowning in your own thoughts
No filter no causeThen it begins the second set of waves with no pause
You cry and cry till you've broken your heart
You tell yourself such mean things
Pointlessly but the daggers still stingYou say:
"I'm useless no one cares"
It's not true but believe it? You wouldn't dare!
"I'm fat and a hopeless cause"
Why think that? Because nothing else matters besides that thought.Once you've stopped crying you settle down
You sigh because you've survived another round.
But you know it's not the end
For anxiety treats you like an old friend.
