Chapter 8

"This..."

"No"

"Okay...what about this one."

"No"

"This one is damn pretty."

"It's too big."

"So what about this one?"

I looked at the ring and then at Sebastian. We had been trying to buy my engagement ring from the past 3 hours and so far we hadn't found the one or should I say, I hadn't found the one.

"No Sebastian, it's...it's just not..." I was unable to coherent my sentence as I was standing under the hopeful gazes of Sebastian and the store manager who had put in his ginormous effort to sell us one ring. If I would have known Sebastian would be bringing me here to a store like Tiffany, I would have at least worn something better. But again, I was clueless and here I am, looking like a homeless girl in such an expensive shop. Half of the rings were already out of my list by just looking at their price tag and remaining half looked either too big or too small for my finger.

"Okay...No problem...We will buy this ring thing later. I don't know about the ring but I will probably die if I don't get food." Sebastian declared making me and the staff chuckle. Sebastian discussed something with the store manager before leading me out to the store. I sighed.

Finally, I was out of this torture.

We walked to the area where his car was parked. Like a gentleman, he opened the door for me and I sat. He shut the door for me and then climbed on to his driver's seat.

"Sorry, Sebastian. I just...I just couldn't buy one." I said guiltily for wasting his time and not even buying a ring.

"Kate it's okay. The reason I bought you with me because I wanted you to choose the ring you like. It's not a big deal that you didn't like a one." He said calmly. I thought he was pissed at me but he acted strangely.

"Umm....are you mad at me?" I asked.

"Mad? Me?" He chuckled. "I have seen worse." He added and I smiled feeling a bit relaxed that he wasn't mad.

We drove in comfortable silence. Miraculously, his presence doesn't make me nervous anymore. I have grown to be a little more comfortable around him. He is so friendly, so nice, and so humble, that I guess anyone would be comfortable around him. I can't imagine Sebastian angry or in rage. It's something which doesn't suit his personality. He is always smiling, joking and making people around him happy and that was the thing I have liked about him the most. Our car halted and the sight in front of me, made me squirm in my seat. I don't like coming to a very fancy, high-end restaurant, at all.

"What happened?" He asked and then I realized he had been holding the door of my side.

"Um...I am not hungry." I lied.

"Well...but I am and trust me you are hungry too. It's almost been over 5 hours you had your unfinished breakfast." He said as I jumped out of his car leaving no scope for further debate. I don't like coming to any restaurant like this one especially when I have not dressed appropriately. The thing with these places is that you have to all dolled up like princess before coming here and to be honest I never like wasting my time in that.

"Walter." Sebastian told the hostess who smiled at us politely and leads us to our table. Sebastian pulled a chair out for me to sit.

"Thanks." I murmured as he sat in front of me.

Not even seconds later, a waiter came to take the order. He handed us our menu and I looked for something cheap as I wasn't carrying my wallet and I just happened to have few crumpled notes in my jeans which managed to stay alive even after one wash.
