Chapter 12
'Twirl around Katie" Sarah demanded and I did as I was told.
"Don't you think it's too hideous?" She asked her designer friend Rachel Knight who had been trying to help me find my wedding dress.
It was decided that the wedding will be in two weeks and everything was being so chaotic. The first thing I was forced to shop was my wedding dress and never in my mind, I had ever thought about in the 20-year life span of mine. Sarah bought me to one of the leading bridal stores in New York owned by the renowned fashion designer who Sarah knows very well. With the special request from Sarah, the designer personally selected a couple of dresses for me in this short time.
"Shall we try another dress." The fitter asked me and I nodded.
This was my 5th dress and I am already starting to get tired. So far, none of the dress was to my liking and I hope the 6th one is good because I don't want to try more dresses.
"Why don't you tell us what kind of dress you would like to wear?" Rachel asked me.
"Umm...I want something conservative." I told her and she smiled.
"We want something that could blow up my little brother's mind." Sarah piped in making Rachel chuckle.
"Well, I have something which could stand up to both of your expectations." This time she herself went in this time with me. I was deadly nervous as I was not sure what she is going to make me wear. She pulled out one of the dress and with the help of the dress assistant, I wore that heavy dress.
"This dress looks absolutely stunning on you." Rachael said and as I was about to turn and look myself in the mirror, she stopped me.
"No...the dress is incomplete." She said and her assistant bought a veil and made me wear it.
"Now it's complete." She said and I turned around to look at my dress and I was completely stunned with it. It was a beaded mermaid style dress which hugged my body well. The neck was V-line with a keyhole back. The veil just completed the look, which was long with lace details.
"Holy Fudge Katie!" I heard Sarah's loud gasp and I turned to look at her standing on the dressing room's door with her mouth covered with her hands.
"What do you say?" Rachel asked her.
"We are definitely buying this dress." She squealed as she hugged me but then she broke the hug and looked at my dress once again.
"Rachel can we make the neck a little deeper. Her cleavage and boobs need a little show." She said pinching my boobs and I slapped her hand away making Rachel chuckle.
"I don't want any changes in the dress." I told Rachel.
"Whatever the bride wants." She said making me smile in relief that she didn't oblige to Sarah's suggestion.
After picking up the matching shoes and headpiece, we made our way to Sebastian's penthouse. I was so tired and I just wanted some food. Thankfully, Andrew had already made some delicious snack for us and I devoured myself with it.
"Katie?"
"Yes."
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Sarah asked me the question from nowhere and I stopped chewing my crumpet.
"No." I said shooking my head.
"Great." She chimed happily shoving a cross bun.
"I can't believe Ken never told us he had a sister." She said and I smiled uncomfortably. It's always a bit weird to react in this situation. Nobody ever knew about my existence.
