His Rebound

Chapter 32

A/N- I really apologize for the delay this time. My laptop crashed unexpectedly and wasn't able to upload the chapter without it. So to compensate it, here come 3X updates. 

Chapter 32

"Nicole?" I mumbled in a feeble voice and she smiled.

"So you know me?" She asked-cum-said and I just nodded.

"Still let me introduce myself formally. I am Nicole, Seth's girlfriend." She extended her hand to greet and I took it but I could miss the confidence and look of disgust on her face.

"Katherine. Umm...Ken's sister."

"I know."

"Umm...please come in." I gestured giving her the way as she entered. I don't know why my hands were sweating having her in the same vicinity. I tried to act confident but it was just, I hadn't expected her to come here before a prior warning from Sebastian.

"Where is Seth?"

"H-He went out."

"Okay." She said making herself comfortable on the couch. She was wearing a green fit and flare dress which was looking absolutely stunning on her. Her blonde hair and beautiful eyes accentuated with makeup make her look so perfect. She looked so beautiful that no wonders why Sebastian fell for her and loves her so much. And her confidence, it was to another level which was intimidating me a little. Someone like me had no chance in front of her.

"This isn't fair. I came all the way to Mauritius and I was anticipating for his reaction when he opens the door and sees me, but he isn't even here."

"He'll probably be on his way back. You didn't tell him that you are coming here?" I asked nervously making sure I am not prying into their lives.

"Of course not. How could it be a surprise then." She said and I bit my tongue at my stupid question.

"He is really going to be happy seeing you." I told her with a polite smile.

"He was missing me so much." She said and I really didn't have any words to say on this.

"Y-Yeah."

"So how are you both getting along." She asked getting up from the couch and making herself comfortable on our bed.

"Yeah we are." I smiled genuinely this time thinking about all the good time I spend with Sebastian.

"He is very caring." I added.

"That he indeed is. He'll create havoc if I even break my nail." I smiled but this time I felt a little pang in my heart.

"Sebastian has been talking a lot about you. Finally, I got the chance to meet you."

"Y-Yeah. He talks about you all the time too."

"I doubt that." Although she was smiling at that statement but her tone was quite accusatory.

"He must be coming in no time. Should I order something for you?" I asked and she shook her head.

"No. I am fine."

We sat in silence for some time and I was feeling super awkward sitting with my husband's girlfriend. Her scrutinizing gazes weren't helping the situation at all. Thankfully Sebastian was back at the right time and as the door was knocked I got up to open it but Nicole beat me at it and rushed ahead of me.

"You can't guess what I..."

"Surprise."

Sebastian's head was down looking at his phone and they both said at the time. But her voice made him look up and the look of horror was evident on his face. She almost jumped to hug him and still shocked Sebastian caught her at the right time.
