Lonely and scared...
That was what 5 year old Katherine was feeling in her new room of her girl's hostel. Her father told her that he was taking her to a new place where she will be living now. She was thrilled to move to a new house but her little mind didn't knew that she had to live here alone. If she would had known, she wouldn't have stepped out her room.
Clutching her mother's pendent in her neck, Katherine sat in the corner of her new small room, hoping her Dad would come any moment now to take her back with him. She hadn't even ate anything ever since she came here and all the energy in her body had been spent in crying and screaming.
She hates being alone, especially at nights as all the demons come alive. She was scared and locked in her room. She remembers the stories her brother told her about nights. If you don't sleep and cry, the monsters hear you and then they come for you. She tried hard to muffle her sobs not wanting the monsters to hear her, but it was impossible and a small knock on the door made it worse for her as her body shivered in fear.
"Kate..." I heard my name being called and unconsciously my hand reached for the pendent in my neck, something which I do when I am scared. It's the only thing which keeps all my fears away.
"Kate..." I heard my name again and my breath was caught up in my throat as I was violently shooked.
I gasped for some air, opening my eyes wide in horror. For a moment, I was scared, as I couldn't understand my surrounding and panic started taking me over. I closed my eyes back again and tried to calm myself down but every attempt at it failed miserably.
"Kate..."I heard his calming voice, the only one person who calls me 'Kate' and I slowly I peeled open my eyes to she him kneeling down on the floor next to me staring me in confusion.
"Sebastian?" I sighed trying to relax.
"Kate? Are you alright?"
"What are you doing here? Where.." I asked getting up and he chuckled.
"Incase you have forgotten we are officially married now and my wife is now in my house." He said showing me his ring that I gave him yesterday and then looking around it my mind registered exactly where I was. I was in Sebastian's living room, sleeping on his one of the expensive leather sofa.
"I am sorry...I didn't meant to fall asleep." I admitted rubbing the sleep of my eyes.
"No it's alright. Infact you can sleep more...it's just 7 in the morning." He said and my eyes widened in horror.
"REALLY?" I asked getting up from the sofa and he gave me a confused look.
"Yes...what's wrong?"
"I have never slept so long...God...this is so no right?" I scurried in the entire living room looking for my bag.
"It's just 7 Kate." He reasoned.
"Where is my bag?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"Your bag is in your room."
"And where is my room?" I asked him curiously and he narrowed his eyes on me.
"You don't know where your room is?"
"This is your house Sebastian. How would I know where you want me to stay for the rest of this arrangement?" I questioned him politely and he looked a little taken back as he stared me with his mouth hung open slightly.
"Umm...yes...you are right." He said getting up from where he was siting and came towards me.
"Is this why you were sleeping here on the sofa?"
