Chapter 29

SEIYA POV:

I was sitting there still chatting with Serena ,asking her about what was currently going on in her life.

"So how's the wedding planning coming?" I asked. I'm not even sure why ,I guess I just wanted to know. Serena looked to me then in the pool water . Our friends were either chatting or in the pool having fun around us.

"It's going good I guess. It's just so much you have to do ." she says ,sighing.

"Yeah I imagine it to be stressful." I say Sympathetically. I've never been to a wedding and I doubt I'll ever have my own. After all I'm not destined for love ......

"Yeah ....." she replied.

I looked at her observating her face ,she looked sad.

"Are you sure that's the only thing bothering you? You know you can tell me. I'm here for you." I tell her. She looks at me with a sad smile.

"I know it's just.....I'm a little scared I guess. What if I mess up at being a wife? I can barely cook a decent meal on my own , I haven't gotten any better than I was in high school ." she explained .

"Really? I believe you will be a great wife , not that I know anything about it. I'm sure it's a learning process for both of you though." I said, trying to comfort her.

"Yeah you're right ." she says smiling .

"Hey Kou!" I hear suddenly behind me. I sigh turning around, knowing only one person to call me by my last name.

"What Haruka?" I asked curiously. She had a weird look on her face that made me nervous. Is she planning something?

"How about a game of pool volleyball ?" she asked grinning at me.

"What's in it for me?" I say smiling at her.

"Nothing just some friendly competition. Or are you scared to go against me Kou." she challenged mockingly.

I barked out a laugh."As if I'm afraid of you Haruka. I never was." I tell her smirking .

Haruka grinned mischievously. "Then come on let's play."she challenged again. I squinted my eyes looking at her . She's definitely up to something.

"Alright you're on." I say grinning . I always like a challenge and I've never challenged Haruka in anything.

"Ahh I've got a bad feeling about this." Serena said, shoulders slumping.
I looked at her and smiled. "Come on Serena it'll be fun."

She squinted her eyes at me. "You and I have totally different views on the meaning of fun." she stated.

I chuckled,shaking my head as I stood up "oh just come on." I say reaching out a hand to pull her up.

I walk over to Haruka and the others with my arms crossed . "So how are we doing this?" I asked her smiling.

Haruka smiled at me with a gleam in her eye. "Easy you and me are captains and we'll pick teams." she says and looks around at everyone who had stopped what they were doing to stare at us .
"Whoever wants to play raise your hand." she asked and everyone raised their hand except Yaten ,which I kind of expected.

"I'll be the score keeper or something. Chlorine is bad for my hair." Yaten says flipping her hair and I rolled my eyes, of course . I heard Serena giggle next to me.
Haruka smirked again and looked at me grinning ."Let's get this started then shall we..."
