Chapter 44

RUBY POV:

It had been over 3 weeks since I started filming and I loved every minute of it. It's literally my passion and one of things I enjoy most in life. The cast was so friendly, and fun to be around . When I had landed I texted seiya telling her I made it and that I missed her. She didn't respond until hours later so I'm assuming it was he tome difference and she was asleep. I loved my character the movie. I would be playing as Calamity, the lead singer of the girl band name Evermoist. I wished I could tell seiya about it ,since she literally is the lead singer of a band. I loved the songs that were in the movie especially ours. I even made jokes about how our song would be our hit single. I haven't played guitar and years so I needed a refresher course on some things but we had a limited time to show me and practice our parts. I wished I could have asked Seiya to help me. It made me wish she was here with me,

On my way to leaving a cafe where I had lunch , I ran into some one I had not seen in a long time ....

"Ruby?" The dark raven haired women questioned.

I looked at her and blinked then smiled. "Jessica? Hey how are you?" I say giving her a polite hug.

"I'm great how are you? What brings you to New York?"

I'm in a movie."I told her.
"Oh wow that's great!" We should catch up while you're here." Jessica replied with a smile. "Yeah that sounds great. Actually I need your help with something." I told her. She's a musician too so she's as good as anyone to help me.

"Sure what do you need?"

It's Been a week and I was waiting for Jessica at the same cafe I saw her at last week. I was on my phone sitting at a table outside looking at pictures of me and Seiya on my phone. It was moments like this that I missed her the most. I wonder what she and he others were up to?

I stopped at one picture and laughed. It was one of one where I was sleeping with my head on her shoulder and she was making bunny ears behind my head and sticking her tongue out at the camera. I didn't even know she took this. I sent a message to her with the picture.

Me: thanks for this pic 😂

Seiya💙: you're welcome 😉

I laughed and sent her the kiss emoji, when Jessica showed up.

I stood up and gave her a small hug before pulling back. We sat down and opened the guitar case that she had with her, pulling out a guitar and passing it to me. I knew a few things already so I just showed her what I knew and showed me everything else that I was missing. I caught on fast enough and was able to play a tune and we would laugh and joke when I hit a sour notes or messed up.

I had just hit another bad note as I tried to play a tune on my own,making her laugh.

"I've missed doing things like this with you Ruby. We need to hang out more."

"Definitely." I said smiling at her.

Jessica was one of the few exes that I still had communication with. Some of them I cut off a long time ago because they hurt me in some way;either they cheated on me,lied to me or both. Those are two things I just can't tolerate and that's double if you do both of them to me.

Jessica and I broke up on good terms though for the most part;and yeah it had also hurt since it was our second time getting together. I was falling for her and I actually planned to marry her. As you can see that's didn't work out quite like that......

"Hey do you want to go do something later if you're not busy?" Jessica asked smiling at me.

"Yeah I'm free. I think we can do that."! I say chuckling .

"Awesome it'll be just like old times." she smirked at me and I smiled remembering some of our fun times together. Like going to concerts or just hanging out together.

"Ok so show me how to play a whale song so I can be like a rock star." I said to her and stuck my tongue out holding up the rockstar sign.🤟🤘

She laughed and slid her chair closer and grabbed my hand directing where my fingers should go.

A/n: another necessary filler chapter . The next one should be a little more dramatic.
