Chapter 19

SEIYA POV:

As I sat there watching OINB with Ruby, I could feel this weird energy that I didn't understand. It seemed to be going between me and her and was getting stronger every minute. I just tried my best to ignore it and watch the show, which was actually pretty good. I eventually noticed that Ruby was shifting on the bed looking uncomfortable, like she was in pain.

"Are you alright?" I asked her concerned.

"Yeah just getting comfortable." She said with a smile that I knew was fake. Of course I didn't believe her ,but I wasn't gonna question her on it. She could tell me if she wanted to. So I turned back to the show. We spent the next few hours watching and laughing at the show. Laughing along with me seemed to help whatever was wrong with Ruby earlier, because she was joking and being her normal self. When we got hungry she asked me if wanted to share a bowl of fruit with her,which I replied yes to. It was delicious because it was all fresh.
We made it to the last episode of season two before we stopped.

"What time is it?" I asked her figuring it was late.

She looked at her phone "9:00." She told me and I looked at her in shock "Yeah I really gotta go." I said getting off the bed and heading downstairs. I stayed way to long. I shook my head at myself as I headed to the door to where my shoes was.

I could feel Ruby right behind me "Sorry I should have said something earlier." She said looking guilty. I finished put on my vans and turned to her. I touched her arm and smiled

"No it's not your fault we were both into the show." I say reassuringly. She looked at me and smiled and for a second I can't help but stare at her. Such a pretty smile. She raised her hand and show me my keys. I smile gratefully and took them.

"Thanks. We have to do this again sometime." I say winking at her and pulled her into a hug. She hugged me back tightly before letting go.

"Call me." I say before running out her house to my car....

40 minutes later :

I pulled up at our house and turned off my car,turning my phone on as I grabbed it. Yep tons of calls and texts from my friends but also from our manager. I sigh as I reach in the back of the car for the picnic stuff and went in the house. I stepped into the living room to find Yaten and Taiki talking. When I walked in, they stopped and looked at me.

"Well well look who finally decided to come home." Yaten said smugly,crossing her arms. I rolled my eyes,well at least she not yelling in anger.

"Yeah yeah." I say waving her off as I drop the picnic basket by her feet and sat on the couch.

"So I take it your date was fun?" Taiki asked looking at me with a smirk. I look at her, I wasn't gonna let them ruin my mood, because I was happy.

"Yeah I did." I replied with a smile.

"Where are your clothes?" Yaten asked me,looking at what I was wearing. I looked down, and I forgot I still had on Ruby's clothes.

"My clothes got soaked last night so she gave me these to wear. she said she was gonna wash them for me." I say smiling remembering last night and how she got them from me.

"Well that was considerate of her." Taiki said smiling.

"She really is nice if it was me, you would have slept in them." Yaten said smirking.

"And that's why I beat you up all the time Yaten. You're to mean." I say laughing, usually that would make me mad but not tonight.

"I added her to the invite list by the way." Yaten  said studying  her nails. I just nodded smiling, "Gonna have to change the food menu or add vegan dishes for her." I tell them thinking and "She also said thanks for the meal it was delicious." I tell them grinning. They both smiled pleased with the news.

"I'm looking forward to meeting her. She seems like an interesting woman." Taiki told me smiling.

"Me too." Yaten said smirking, shaking her head. "How you pulled off getting the attention of someone like her. I'll never understand."

I grimaced at her, now she was annoying me. "Shut it shrimp and by the way, at this party please don't embarrass me. Both of you, but mostly you Yaten." I say glaring at her.

She just looked challenging at me. "Or what?"

I growl "Or else I'll destroy every gift you get there, including the one she gets you." I say smirking. I'm bluffing on that last part. I'm not that cruel but she doesn't know that.

Yaten grimaced and rolled her eyes "Whatever." She mumbles while I smile triumphantly, knowing I won that fight.

"Oh she having a DJ gig this week and she invited us, well me but she said you guys could come."

"I rather just meet her at the party."  Yaten replies flipping her hair.

"Same here." Taiki nods agreeing. 

I shake my head "You guys are boring." I say getting up "Night I'm going to my room."
I tell them with a wave as I'm walking away. I got in my room and headed to my bathroom to take a much needed, long awaited shower. When I walked into my room drying my hair with a towel, I heard my phone ringing, I smirked guessing who it was calling. I picked up my phone looking at the screen. I laughed when I saw the name. Called it. I answered the call.

"Hey Ruby." I say with a smile.

"Hi beautiful." She says on the other line. I blush at the word beautiful. I've heard people call me hot or sexy, but beautiful? It just sounded so.....elegant.

"Did you make it home safe?" She asked.

"Yeah I did, thanks for asking." I smile.

"Common curtesy remember?"  She says laughing, making me laugh as well.

"Is that the phrase of the day?" I asked her amused.

"Yep like your cool beans phrase." She replies laughing.

"Aussie." I say in fake anger.

"Jap." She shot back. Then we both started laughing. We just talk normally for the rest of the night. Somehow we eventually fell asleep talking on the phone.

RUBY POV:

I watched as Seiya ran to her car and pulled off. I couldn't stop smiling. I had so much fun hanging with Seiya yesterday and today. I went upstairs to take a shower and started to wash my hair to get the beach smell out of my hair , since I didn't get to do it yesterday. As I was washing my hair, I thought about the last few hours that I spent with Seiya. From our kiss, or almost kiss; Still upset about that too by the way. I was so close to feeling her beautiful plump lips on mine. I wonder how she would react if I spontaneously kissed her out of no where....

I also thought about the way she held me last night in the guest room. Yeah she was sleep, but I think she was aware of what she was doing. She wanted to hold me. I smiled wider as I finished up and started drying off,thinking about it. If I didn't think I had a chance with her before I think I do now. I needed to speak to her friends though, maybe they could help me to finally get with her. After I settled in my bed with may dogs surrounding me ,I called Seiya to talk for a while but we both ended up falling asleep on the phone together.
