Chapter 30

RUBY POV:

I watched as Haruka taunted Seiya, a little skeptical of this plan. How was playing pool volleyball gonna make Seiya like me more? I looked at yaten and spoke lowly to her.
"Are we sure this is gonna work?" I asked low so only she could hear .

She smirked and looked at me. "I'm not entirely sure but I have a back up plan anyway that I know will work." she told me winking.

I looked at her raising an eye brow Curiously "And what exactly is that?"

"It's simple ,you take her out on a date."

I frowned confused "But I've already been doing that." I tell her.

"And with each of those dates did seiya do anything that was out of the friendship zone?"

"Yeah we..... almost kissed once." or twice....
I tell her blushing from remembering the night we almost kissed at the beach and earlier today.

Yaten blinked shocked for a minute, then smirked. "See all Seiya needs is a little push. So when you're alone with her later ask her out on a real one that puts the others to shame. I mean this date has to be romantic as hell, with candles, flowers ,and everything." Yaten says to me and I nodded already thinking of a plan in my head.

"I also recommend no matter what you do or where you take her , at the end of the date you tell her exactly how she makes you feel and then kiss her ,or kiss first ,whichever you prefer. But don't hesitate. You hesitate and give her a chance to think about it and she could turn you down even if she liked it. Understand?" she finished looking at me seriously in the eye. I nod and smirked at her, liking this plan more.

"How do you know all this?" I ask her giggling and she smiled and blushed. Wow she's really pretty when she blushes.

"Well don't tell the others but I'm really a romantic, I love romance movies and sometimes books when I feel like reading them. " she tells me sheepishly.

"Wow who would have thought?" I said to her jokingly and she blushed again.

"yeah yeah but remember don't tell anyone or I'll deny all claims and never tell you anything again." she said squinting her eyes at me.

I held my right hand over my heart. "You have my word." I tell her winking. She smiles and shakes her head.

"Wow you and Seiya are made for each other, between you and her winking; I don't know whose worse.....probably her." Yaten states thinking to herself. I looked at her and laughed ,which just made her smile and join in.

Haruka suddenly asked who was playing and we all raised our hand except yaten. I smirked at her excuse of why she wasn't playing and saw Seiya roll her eyes,making me laugh. Haruka then called everyone to get in line in front of her.

"OK guys so me and Seiya are captains and we will just pick who will be on our teams. " she explains smiling at us. We all nodded and I crossed my arms already knowing whose team I would be on since this was part if the plan .

"I'll pick first ." Haruka stated then surveyed us,her eyes landing on me and smirked. "Ruby." I walked up to her side and stood next to her ,sighing internally. I peeked over at Seiya and she was frowning over at Haruka . Was this actually working? By the end our team was made up of me,Minako,Michiru,Hotaru and Setsuna. Seiya's team was Serena ,makoto ,Amy,Ray and Taiki. After teams were picked we got on opposing sides of the net and the game started. It was really fun . When ever I helped made a shot over the net, Haruka would high five me or fake whisper in my ear like she was telling me something and I could see Seiya bite her lip or nails each time. I couldn't believe this was actually working. Each team kept taunting each other during the while thing. Our team was winning and we only needed three more to win the whole game. We passed it over the net and went back and forth ,where Setsuna hit the ball hard and sent it over the net. Serena jumped up and spiked the ball over the net, but she wasn't able to get a good landing so she ended up tumbling in the water.
