Love like no other

Chapter 13

RUBY POV:

When we finally stopped splashing each other , we was out of breath and breathing hard. We stood there laughing at each other like a bunch of crazies. Never had I done something like this at a beach before or with anyone. After our laughing calmed down we stood there looking at each other. It was tense for a moment but not in a bad way. I could feel some kind of electricity in the air that wasn't there before, and I think she felt it too. My gaze began wandering to her lips and a back to her eyes over and over again.

Her lips had water dripping from them that made them look even more kissable then usual. I noticed she was staring at my lips too.

Did she want me to kiss her??

I stepped closer to her and reached out to move a strand of her hair from her forehead to place it behind her ear. She blushed under my touch and I just giggled and stepped closer, sliding my hand from her neck down pass her shoulder and arms. I was inches from her face now. I placed my hands on her hips and leaned towards her, automatically she seemed to be leaning toward me too. My heart started racing and my breath hitched. Is this really happening?

Her eyelids started closing and I could feel her breath on my face. I closed my eyes leaning in. My lips barely brushed hers,when all of a sudden a big wave crashed over our heads drenching us. It was such a shock that we both jumped back in shock. I wiped my eyes and stared at seiya and she did the same, looking wide eyed. We stared for a minute before we started laughing. What rotten luck! I was so close to kissing her too . I can still the tingle in my lips touched hers. I know it's gonna be on my mind for the rest of the night. Seiya all of a sudden looked up at the sky and pointed "Hey Ruby look a shooting star." Seiya pointed out but when I looked up I couldn't find it.

"Where?" I asked my eyes scanning the sky. Seiya came near me and put her hand on my face directing which way the star was at.

"There..." she whispered pointing and I saw it. "Quickly make a wish." She said closing her eyes so I did the same. To be honest I didn't believe in his type of thing but I did it anyway.

I wish that' Seiya would kiss me so I would know how she felt about me. I said wishing to myself.

"What did you wish for?" Seiya asked me when I opened my eyes. I just smiled at her. I wasn't gonna tell her , especially if here was a small chance it'll come true.

"What did you wish for?" I asked her ignoring her question. She blushed and looked away.

"Nothing...." she mumbled.

Now I was even more curious. I raised an eyebrow at her. "Your blush says something other than nothing though." I tease her chuckling.

"Hey you ignored my question too so we're even." Seiya said back, sticking her tongue out at me. I laughed at her and splashed her with water.

"Hey! If this is what I'm gonna get then I'm getting out now." She says laughing ,shielding her face. I pretend to pout.

"Nooo I promise I'll behave." I tell her laughing.

"Well since you begged me I won't. She grinned.  And I just rolled my eyes and chuckled.

"So I have a question for you." I say staring at her curiously.

"What is it?"

"Well I've told you what my life was like when I was younger, can you tell me what yours was like?" I ask stepping a little closer to her, just wanted to be by her. I wish I could hold her right now. I mean we literally almost just kissed! That would mean something right?

Seiya took a deep breath "Ummmm Well it's not much to tell really." She replies scratching the back head.

I scoffed "Oh come on! Everyone has a story rather it's good or bad, I won't judge." I say with a small smile. She stares at me with a really uncomfortable look .

"I won't make you but I would like to know more about you hats all." I tell her quietly.

"No it's ok, it's just not that interesting or long but I'll tell you." She replied sinking lower until it was up to her neck. I copied her movements and got even closer to her. "Well I've never known my parents, I was raised in an orphanage. Actually me and my friends were raised in an orphanage." She says correcting herself.

I stared in shock, "All three of you?!" I questioned in disbelief. Seiya looked at me and smirked.

"Yeah seems kind of coincidental huh?" She laughed then continued. "Yep we meant there, formed a friendship, and found out we could sing well always sung for fun until one day we were discovered by a talent scout. From that point on we became famous. Since we were Orphans and didn't have last names. We came up with the name Kou. Everyone assumed we where related so we went with it." Seiya finished shrugging.

"Wow that was.....wow. An interesting story." I say shaking my head for a lack of words and she laughed.

"I told you it sucked.

"Nono it's not that it just doesn't feel realistic that's all." I say shrugging thinking about it. She laughs and shrugs again looking away nervously.

"We should probably get back it's getting late." She told me and I nodded at her.

"Yeah it's starting to get colder too."

We got out the water and went back to the blanket and started packing everything back into the basket. On the way back towards the woods that led to the car, she grabbed my hand leading me like before. I gave her hand a slight squeeze enjoying the feeling and not wanting her to let go. It fit perfectly in mines like it was made for me.

"So what was your pass relationships like?" I asked her as we walked. She was silent for a while, so I looked over at her. It was dark but could swear her cheeks was red. She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.

"To be honest with you Ruby......I've never been in one."
