Chapter 14

    It's been a couple days after Open Castle Day. I woke up one morning. I walked out to my balcony and looked up. "Oh my gosh, I'm late!" I yelled and ran back into my room and threw my pajamas off. "Luna, could you please get my outfit out?!" I asked. "Sure..." She said while yawning. She got my clothes out of my closet and I got my top, my bottom, my stockings, and my jacket on. I quickly grabbed my sword and ran out the door and so did Luna.

    While I was running, I ran into someone very special. I fell on my butt and it hurt. I looked up to see... "Tch..." I got up and said, "Good Morning, Prince Izana. I'm sorry for running into you," I said trying not to sound annoyed. "Good Morning, Princess Akari," He said with a smirk. 'Call me Princess one more time, I'll...' I thought. "Make sure to be careful next time," He said. "Yes, but... Please just call me Akari..." I said. He then got close to me and whispered into my ear, "Please come to my room tonight..." and walked away. "Fine." I said and glared. And smirked at me. I walked to Zen's office and opened the door.

    "Hey, sorry... I'm late," I said. "Your fine, I knew you'd wake up late," Zen said. "Oh," I said. He was doing paperwork, but he looked like he was going faster than usual. I walked over to Mitsuhide and Kiki and asked, "So, is there a reason why Zen is working so hard?" "He went to got see Shirayuki and she was busy, so I guess he's doubling his efforts," Kiki said. "Ohh..." I said. "Shirayuki's been the best motivator in years, hasn't she?"Mitsuhide asked. "Yeah, but he works way too hard," Kiki said. "Gah..." Zen let out. We all turned around and he had a paper cut. "It's nothing, just a paper cut," Zen said.

    "Zen, you should go to the medical wing," Mitsuhide walked over and grabbed his wrist. "Please don't be ridiculous," Zen said. "Still, people still died of stupid paper cuts like this," Mitsuhide said. "Do you really think I'm that dumb?" Zen asked. "The tiny fibers go into the bloodstream and quickly multiply until the victims turn into monstrous paper people!" Mitsuhide said in a funny voice. "Ok, I'll go, just please no horror drama," Zen got out of his seat and walked to the door, "I'll be back shortly," Zen said. "I'll walk with you, the soldiers want help with their training this morning. They don't want me to go easy on them," She said with a smile.

    "That's gonna be regretful..." Zen said walking out the door. "Hope torturing them is fun," Mitsuhide said. "Hehe, their asses our screwed..." I said with a smirk. "Yeah, hehe..." Mitsuhide said and I realized that we were alone together. I turned around quickly. "O-Oh... You're here, um..." I said while blushing and I felt I was being really awkward. I saw him blush also. 'I want to tell Mitsuhide about Izana, but should I?' I asked myself. 'Yeah,' Luna said in my head. 'Oh...' I thought. I walked over to the balcony and sat on the railing and Mitsuhide leaned against the balcony. "Mitsuhide," I said. "Hm?" He looked at me with a concerned look.

    "It's Izana... He asked me to got to his room tonight... I don't know what he's planning, but he was acting a bit weird..." I said. He furrowed his eyebrows, "Are you sure you want this?" He asked. "Well, I have to obey him, so I don't really have a choice..." I said in disappointment. "But you're a princess, remember?" He asked. "Not in this world, I'm not," I said. He sighed in disappointment. "Yeah, it's disappointing," I said. I scooched back a little and started to fall "Gah!" Then I felt a pair of arms around my waist, "Damn, I thought I wouldn't have made it," He said panting.

    I slid off the balcony and then both of our noses touched and his arms were still around my waist. Our eyes went big, "W-Well..." I stuttered and blushed red. He released me and I finished, "Thank you for saving me from what could have been a messy fall..." I said and scratched my neck. "Y-You're welcome... It's been a while since Zen left. Maybe we should go to the medical wing," He said. "Great idea," I said.

    We got the Medical Wing and we asked where Zen was, "Hey, do you know where Zen is?" I asked. "Oh, he's in the bunk room... Wait, are you Shirayuki's sister? She's told me great things about you," She said. "Yeah, she is," I said. "Your hair is so long and pretty," She complimented. "Oh, thanks," I said with a smile. "Ok, we need to go get Zen," Mitsuhide said while putting his hand on my back. "Ok, you two, have a great day," The Chef Herbalist said. We both said our "Thank yous" and left. Mitsuhide led me to the bunk room.
