"I have no idea what to do. She doesn't deserve this," Zen said. "Maybe if Raji wouldn't have said anything, we wouldn't have this problem, but he had to open his mouth," I said. "True..." Zen sighed. Obi jumped onto Zen's balcony. "No need for fear, Obi's returned," Obi said. "Obi, I said only 2 days," Zen said coldly. "It's been a while since I've been out. Guess I got too carried away. Did I miss anything?" Obi asked. "Yes, you did," Zen said. "People are starting to believe that Shirayuki is Zen's fiancee, so there's been some attention that's unwanted," Mitsuhide said. "Raji opened his mouth," I said. "Hope it doesn't interfere with her work," Kiki said. "I told her to be on the lookout," Zen said.
Zen stopped to think for a moment and said, "Obi, I want you to be Shirayuki's bodyguard," "Wait, remember all those threats?" Obi asked. "She will have to be the one to forgive you for that. After all, I thought you wouldn't come back, but you did. I trust you now," Zen said. "Really, Master?" Obi asked. "Yes, now Kiki, take Obi to Shirayuki," Zen commanded and so she did. Me, Mitsuhide, and Zen were walking around for a while and came across Shirayuki below us. "Seems like Shirayuki is doing fine," Mitsuhide said. "That's good," I mentioned. "Yeah," Zen said.
Then Obi said something he shouldn't of, "Do you wish you had a higher social status or wished that Zen wasn't a prince?" That went through my head for hours and we went back to Zen's office. But, a memory came across my head. A good one too...
~Akari's Memory~
I was 15 while Shirayuki was 12 at the time. We were both in a library. Shirayuki was looking for books to read, but I had no interest in books, so I didn't look for one. Shirayuki found a book on herbs and started reading it and got hooked to it. She checked the book of herbs out and a day later, we ventured the forest in the morning. "So Shirayuki, why are we out here?" I asked. "I'm looking for medicinal herbs," she said. "Why?" I asked because I got really confused. "It may come in handy if we ever get injured," she said. "Oh, I see..." I said and leaned against a tree.
"Found one!" she said which caught to my attention. "An herb?" I asked. "Yes, a Japanese honeysuckle. It's a remedy for a light fever, sore throat, headache, and even cough," she said and picked it. "It's a pretty flower," I said with a smile. "It sure is!" she said in a cheery voice. "What's this?" I asked. She flipped through her book, "Aloe vera. It heals sunburns, minor burns, and poison ivy," she said. "That could be useful, I'll go get it," I said and went to go pick it. Me and Shirayuki picked more herbs. We were carrying a basket and we went home. "What's with all of the plants?" Grandma asked. "We went to go pick some herbs. Shirayuki said it can be useful one day," I said.
"Oh, that's interesting. Do you want to become an herbalist?" Grandma asked. "Yes, I do, Grandma," Shirayuki answered. "At least it gets my mind off somethings," I said. We ate lunch and me and Shirayuki walked around a little. "So, do you know what love is?" Shirayuki asked. I paused for a moment. "I don't know. Grandma said that you have to find that out for yourself. Every single person has their own definition of love. I still have questions about it. Most people say it's a good thing and some people don't," I said. "Have you ever dated anyone by chance?" she asked. "No, but there was this one boy who saved me from a group of boys who wanted me," I said.
"Who was it?" she asked. "I never got his name, but he was definitely a guard. Remember when I went to Sereg?" I asked. "Yeah, you were there for a while," she said. "I was only there for 3 days," I said. "It felt like weeks!" she said. I gave her a smile. "He was attractive..." I said with a blush. "You like him?" She asked with a smirk. "You don't have to have a crush on them to think that one is attractive," I said. "I never knew that..." she said. "Do you think love is good?" I asked. "Of course! I love you, Grandma, and Grandpa," she said. "Good," I said with a warm smile.
We walked back that night and we looked at a book I read when I was younger and the only book I liked. I showed it to my sister. "Who's that pretty lady?" Shirayuki asked. "That's the 1st Moon Goddess and she does look pretty," I said with a smile.
"Oh, what about her?" she asked pointing to another woman. "That's the 1st Moon Princess," I answered. "She has long pretty hair like you," she said. "You have pretty red hair," I said. "She kinda looks like you, Akari," she said. I took a better look at the picture. She truly did. "What's the Moon Princess?" she asked. "She's also a wolf princess. She's a strong warrior that protects the people of the Moon Kingdom," I explained. "You're a warrior too!" she said. "Maybe I'm a Moon Princess wannabe!" I said with a huge smirk.
"Very funny, Akari," Shirayuki said with a smile. "Time for bed, Shirayuki," I said. I took Shirayuki to her room. "Goodnight," I said. "Goodnight, Akari," she said. 'How would I be a Moon Princess anyhow?' I thought to myself and left her room. I went to my room and sat on my bed. I looked outside and saw a full moon that night. I smiled. 'There are somethings I have a lot of questions for...' I thought and went to sleep.
"...There are just questions that are sometimes unanswered when you don't want them to..."
