Last night I figured out that my sister was kidnapped, but got home safely. I woke up the next morning and looked out the window to see a beautiful town. "Hey, Akari! Let's go to the castle to see Mitsuhide and Kiki!" Shirayuki yelled. "Oh, alright!" I yelled back. Me and Shirayuki went through town to get to the castle. A man, which was probably a merchant, caught my attention because he was holding some type of pendant to the guards. "Hi Shirayuki and Akari!" One of the guards said at the gate. "Are you coming to see Prince Zen again?" The guard said with a smile. "No, Mitsuhide and Kiki wanted to see us. And about what the man was holding, the pendant around his neck." Shirayuki said. "Oh, that's just an identification," then the guard shows his, "Anyone who works in the castle has to have one. You have to wear one under any circumstance." The guard explained.

"We have special orders from the Prince to let you guys in. Now go ahead and wait at the entrance." The other guard said. "Thank you." Shirayuki and I said with a bow and walked in through the gates. We soon found Mitsuhide. He said, "I'm glad you guys came very quickly. We need your help with Zen." "Is something wrong?" Shirayuki asked. "He left on official business outside the castle the other day and snuck away to the local area." He said. "He snuck away?" She asked. "Everybody here is used to it, but this time he was super late coming back and didn't clear it with ministers and this time, they were a lot harder on him than they usually are." He explained. "Is it depression?" I asked. "No- I wouldn't say that," Mitsuhide knocked on the door, "More like he's acting like a baby and over-working himself and locking himself in his office," Mitsuhide explained more and the door opened.

Zen's aura didn't feel right. It was a bit... weird... "Shirayuki...?" Zen asked in a creepy voice. "Am I dreaming...?" Zen asked still using a creepy voice. "No, I'm not a dream, but I'll take it as a compliment." Shirayuki said. "It was my idea to bring Shirayuki, Zen. Since you'd rather spend time with her and get no sleep. Hey, you said that." Mitsuhide said. "I only said that, so you could get off my back." Zen said. "You wrote her name on some documents and you talk about her a lot. Go spend time with her." Kiki suggested. "I just really like her name..." Zen said. "If you don't want all your applies to say "Shirayuki" take a break-" Mitsuhide was cut off by Zen. "Mitsuhide, we're gonna have a talk later." Zen said. "Al-Alright, Me and Shirayuki are just gonna go home. Sorry for all this nonsense..." I said. Zen quickly got out of his chair and everyone paused for a second tile Shirayuki asked, "What?"

"This is unfair, you guys." Zen complained. "We realize that, Sir." Kiki and Mitsuhide said together. After that happened, I took a walk with Mitsuhide and then we started sparing today. "You're in high spirits today." I said. I got caught off guard and he tripped me. "Hah, I beat you again!" Mitsuhide said in excitement. "Maybe you're stronger than I thought." I said. "Here, Let me help you up." He said while holding out his hand for me. My cheeks became a little warm. "O-Oh..." I said and took his hand. "You know... I think Zen has strong feelings for Shirayuki..." I said softly. "Yeah, I think so too." He agreed. "Do you have any strong feelings for someone?" I asked.

He paused for a moment. "Y-Yeah..." He said with hesitation. "Can I know who it is or do you not want me to know?" I asked. "I'd rather keep it a secret." He said. "Anyway, we should go see what Shirayuki's up to," I suggested. Mitsuhide nodded his in agreement and we walked around the castle. We found Shirayuki and Zen. Zen was lying down and sleeping, while Shirayuki was reading a book. Most of the time, I'd be about herbs. Shirayuki and I went to a forest with herbs. Shirayuki forgot a book, so we went back to the palace.

The guards let us through the gates, but a man with dark brown hair came to the gates telling the guards that me and Shirayuki were not allowed to pass anymore. I heard the man say, "The order has been recended," The man shows a paper to the guards, "Shirayuki and Akari, from my retainers forbid them to step foot onto the castle. This was difficult for the Prince. Please don't make this harder for him. Good day." The man said. "Hey, wait. We just let Shirayuki and Akari in a few minutes ago, maybe you should tell Prince Zen." The guard said. "She left her book behind." The other guard said.

Me and Shirayuki started running toward a door. We ran into a hallway and there were some guards. They stopped us and one said, "Interesting hair color and hair length. Are you the girls they call Shirayuki and Akari?" "Yes, we are," I said. "I thought you guys might be it. We were informed you were a guest of the Prince. Sorry for scaring you two." He said. "Oh no, it's fine," Shirayuki said. The guards left and we started running again.

'I hope it isn't true what the man said... I want to see Mitsuhide more... But this won't be goodbye just yet! I will become a palace guard so our friendship won't break so easily!' I thought as we ran up some stairs. Then, an arrow was shot and luckily didn't hit us. 'Silver and red-haired intruders, you're not welcome here as a guest. You have been warned.' The note said on the arrow. Shirayuki took out the arrow from the wall and we started running again. We came across a hallway. We heard a familiar voice call, "Shirayuki, Akari. I thought you two left. And what's with the running?" Zen asked.

"O-Oh... um... I left my book earlier." Shirayuki said. "Why in such a hurry? Are you not telling me something, Shirayuki?" Zen asked. "Y-Yeah, for the most part." She said. "Interesting, what's the story with the arrow?" Zen asked. Shirayuki, me, and Zen went into a room and they both spoke about how they won't let anyone in their way. After we were done, Me and Shirayuki hung around the castle. "What are you two doing here? Do you serve in the court?" A man asked. He looks like one of the royals.

"No sir, we are the only ones visiting," I asked.

"With whom?" He asked.

"Well, I-"

"How did you gain access to the castle?" He asked.

"We both entered through the poet's gate, but we had permission. We're on our way to see him now. He'll explain if you come along." Shirayuki said. Shirayuki started walking toward the nobleman and he u sheathed his sword. "Hold it, if I found an intruder in the castle, I would think to allow them to go any farther. I command you to leave here." The man said. I unsheathed my sword. Shirayuki told me to lower my sword. "You don't look like someone from a sufficient social status that would be invited with that much authority." The man said.

She kept walking forward until the man put his sword away. He sheathed his sword in a dramatic way. "Is there an order given out supposedly by Prince Zen?" Shirayuki asked. "Great work, the two of you aren't the type to be scared by a little arrow." The dark brown haired male said. "Huh?" I asked. "Don't be scared now, I'm harmless. There is no chance of me escaping, so I will tell you the truth. I wrote the order and shot the arrow. It was all just me, he was innocent the whole time." He explained.

"Don't spout such nonsense, I was the culprit, but I was only doing it to protect the prince." The nobleman said. "You people have a sense of pride that's weird." He said. "You're right," Zen said from behind. "Lord Haruka, is really true you did it for me?" Zen asked walking up to us. "Yes, Prince Zen," Haruka said. "The plan was misguided," Zen said, "If things didn't work out, it would've made this place unbearable." Zen finished. "You were hiding? How long did you listen?" Shirayuki asked. "Before I found you, I found him, so I heard everything. It took some self-control not to jump in, you know. Sorry for eavesdropping." Zen said. "It's alright, Zen," Shirayuki said. "Peasant! How dare you call the prince by his name!" Haruka yelled. "Calm down, she has permission. You know what? I think it's important to have people who value higher social status above all else. I need to understand no matter how different they are. Lord Haruka, do you value your position?" Zen asked. "Yes, Prince Zen," Haruka said. "Then don't abuse your position," Zen warned.

Then Lord Haruka walked off. I also realized my sword was still out of its sheath, so I put it back. "Well, that's a wrap!" The brown haired male said. "Not so fast," Zen said. "You can call me Obi, master," Obi said. "I'm not your master." Zen grabbed Obi by the shirt, "Listen, I'm gonna keep a close on you." Zen finished. "Don't worry, I'm way too afraid to mess with those girls. Have ya see how fast that silver head drew hers?" Obi asked. "What?!" I asked. "Why should I believe you?" Zen pushed. "Cause I'm honest? And I like them, redhead could sure help out a prince!" Obi winked at Zen and causing Zen to push him off. He landed gracefully on the ground meeting Kiki and Mitsuhide. "Kiki, Mitsuhide, keep this guy outta trouble!" Zen commanded. After that, Shirayuki and Zen were talking about her new job. "Oh, I wanted to be a royal guard," I mentioned.

"You seem more like "The Prince's aide" material," Zen said. "What are you saying?" I asked. "Akari, will you become my new aide? Mitsuhide and Kiki will still be ones too," Zen said. "Sure, I would love to! And Shirayuki can become a court herbalist after she passes the test." I said with a smile. "Good, you start tomorrow," Zen said.
