I was sitting on my couch all alone just thinking what to do for Christmas Eve. There was nothing I could think of, so I texted my sister, Shirayuki. I asked if she got any plans for Christmas and she said she'd be going to a cabin with Zen. Kiki said she had other plans. Obi was out of town. Luna was off elsewhere. And we'll, Mitsuhide... I don't know. I was too afraid to ask since I kinda had a big crush on him...
I hugged a nearby an thought about just giving up... Then I heard a knock on the door. It was 8:00 pm and I know it's not late, but who'd be at MY door at this late at night. No one usually was at my door this late. Which is never. I only had a oversized sweatshirt on and some knee high socks that had wolves on them.
"Akari, it's me, Mitsuhide," He said while knocking. I got up anyway and opened the door. "Is there something you want?" I asked and I saw him holding a present. I could feel a blush creeping on my face. "I got this for you," He said holding out the present. "Huh? For me? Thanks..." I thanked him with a smile. "Oh, you can come in! It's cold outside, take a seat," I said with realization.
"Thank you, Akari," He said and sat down on my couch. I sat right next to him and opened the present. It was a box. "Huh? What's in the box?" I said observing it. It was a white box with blue ribbon tied into a bow. I untied the ribbon and lifted the lid from the box seeing a snow globe of a kingdom. It was beautiful. "Thank you, Mitsuhide. It's beautiful," I said with a smile. "Your welcome. So how was your Christmas?" He asked. "Pretty lonely, heheh..." I said with a chuckle.
"Aww, I'll hang out with you then since I got no one else today. And you are a great friend!" He said. 'Yeah... "great friend" is what I only am to you...' I thought, but I still smiled. "How was your Christmas?" I asked. "I went to go see some family back at home. Now I'm with you," he said. "Shirayuki is off with Zen. Kiki has other plans. Luna is off somewhere and Obi is out of town, so no one to hang out with..." I said.
"Don't worry, you got me!" He said with a giant smile and hugged me tight. "I gotta use the bathroom. Be right back, Akari!" He said and got up to use the bathroom. I got up and put some snacks, but I couldn't reach them, so then I climbed on the counter. I almost fell off, but thanks to Mitsuhide, because he caught me just in time. "Thanks," I said.
"No problem," He said with his arms around my waist. "You can let go now," I mentioned. "Oh, sorry," He said letting go. He got the snacks for me and we set them down on the plate. I carried the plate to the living room and set them on the coffee table. We ate the cookies from the plate. We also played board games for a little while... I didn't win since Mitsuhide is so good at them.
"Haha! I win!" He cheered and I clapped. "Good job, Mitsuhide," I said with a smile. He looked cute with his big smile and I blushed. "How cute..." I said without knowing. "Huh?" He asked in shock. "What did I say?" I asked. Then I realized I said it out loud. My face felt really hot and my heart was beating really fast. Then, I fainted and fell on the couch.
I woke up in my bed thinking where I was, but I looked around and instantly knew. It was morning and I saw Mitsuhide resting his head on my bed. I shook him, so he'd wake up. He shot his head up and looked around. "Oh, I'm in your room... You fainted last night, so I carried you to your bed," He explained.
"Thank you," I said. "Your welcome," He said with a smile and I got up and walked out of my room. The tree had presents under them. Santa came. "How wonderful, Santa came..." He said. "Yeah..." I said. I decided to open them later when Mitsuhide wasn't here. "Well, I guess I'll leave now. I had fun, thanks!" Mitsuhide said. I just remembered something.
I had a present for him and Mitsuhide was almost out the door. "Wait!" I yelled and caught up. "I have a gift for you..." I said and handed it to him. "Thank you, Akari," He said. "Yeah..." I smiled. Then, he pointed up. "What?" I asked. He gave me a smile and pointed up and there was a... MISTLETOE?!
My eyes grew big. 'Oh no, Akari... You know what that means...' I thought and Mitsuhide kissed my lips. I blushed, "..." I didn't have any words. "You look so cute, Akari," He said. "Oh yeah, did I ever tell you that I love you?" He asked with a grin. "Wait, what?!" I asked in shock. "Oh yeah, while you were out last night, I kissed you. I read your Diary too," He mentioned. "You read that...? Oh my gosh!!!" I yelled.
