Chapter 13

    I woke up the next morning. I walked out to my balcony to see a bunch of people. "Oh right... It's Open Castle Day..." I told myself. Zen did give me a day off. I turned around and went into my room. "Hey Luna, fetch me my clothes," I commanded. "Yes, Princess," She said and got my clothes out of my closet. "Wait, you should wear something normal," Luna suggested. "Yeah, your right," I said and she looked through my clothes.

    She pulled out a pink dress, "How does this look to you?" She asked. "That's perfect!" I said in excitement. And then she pulled out a pair of white boots. She went to my sock drawer and got a pair of very light pink and red on the trimmings stockings. I put on the dress and stockings on. Luna found 2 ribbons to put in my hair. She put a bun in my hair and let some hair out like a pigtail and did the same on the other side (Like Sailor Moon's hairstyle).  "You look cute," Luna said. I gave her a smile. I gave her a nod to let her know I like it.

    "Let's go," I said walking out the door. "I'm coming," Luna said rushing out the door. I ran into Mitauhide by accident, "I'm so sorry," I said in panic. "It's quite alright, Akari," he said. Then he took my hand and started running. "Wait, where are we going?!" I asked while Luna was rushing toward us. "The festival," he answered and I gave him a smile. We got to where the food stalls were. It all looked so good, I was drooling. Mitauhide looked over at me, "Well, you look like you really want some food!" Mitsuhide laughed. I blushed a little and wiped off the drool.

    "Here, let me get you something," he said. He left to go order something. After a few moments, he came back with a candy apple. "Th-Thank you, Mitsuhide," I said. "You're welcome, Princess," He said with a smile and gave me the candy apple. I blushed a little. "Well, I'm gonna go somewhere else! Bye!" Luna said and ran off with a smirk. I groaned a little cause I knew what she was doing. I turned to Mitsuhide, "So, Where are the others?" I asked. "Oh, Um- I just lost them," he said. I laughed and we walked around while eating the candy apple Mitsuhide gave me.

    "Mitsuhide, how much was the candy apple?" I asked. "Why?" He asked. "Well, I was thinking about paying you back," I answered. "No, no. Please, it was all on me. A simple thank you is enough," he said. "No, please let me pay you back," I said. "No, I think a thank you is enough," he said. I looked at him for a moment, "Fine..." I said in defeat. Then, I looked over and saw a food stall. 'Mitsuhide never got anything,' I thought. "Wait here," I said and walked over to the food stall. I got him a lollipop. I walked over to him, "Here you go, I know adults don't eat candy much, but you didn't eat anything, so I got you something," I said.

    His eyes sparkled. "I love sweets! Thank you, Akari!" He said while I handed him the lollipop. "You're welcome," I said with a smile. Then, People started cheering. I looked over to see Zen and Izana. Me and Mitsuhide started clapping. Then, I saw Izana stare at me with that smirk of his. "...Ngh..." "What's wrong?" He asked. "Izana..." I groaned. I gave Izana a glare. Then, it soon became over. We went to Prince Zen and then we heard that an actress got hurt, so we went there because Shirayuki was there.

    "Ow, ow, ow, OW! That hurts..." The actress said. "It looks like your foot is broken, Sorry," Ryu said. "Oh no! I'll never become a start if it won't heal! Please do something!" The actress said. I then thought, 'Why not I help her...' "Hey, I'll go on stage for you," I said. She looked at me with a very happy smile. "Really? Thank you so much!" She said. "Could you tell me what lines I need to say?" I asked. "All you need to say is No, My king, I am sorry, I have fallen for someone else after he says his first line. Then a man comes out to kiss you," She said. "Al-Alright," I said with hesitation. Then she gave me a costume and I went to the dressing room.

    I came out in a blue flowy dress with a half up half down bun. I saw Mitsuhide blush a little and my friends gave me a good luck sign. "So, your the new actress?" A man said which seemed like the king. I said yes and it was about to started soon. The signaled me to go out and I did. "Fair maiden, Will you be my wife?" The actor said. "No, My king! I am sorry, but I have fallen for someone else!" I said. "I know you said no, fair maiden, but will you please kiss me?" He asks hold both of my hands. "Yes," I guessed what to say because I was never told. He cupped my face and leaned in for a kiss.

    Then, a man jumped in and held me in his arms, "Stay back fool! You do not deserve to even touch this fair maiden!" I heard Mitsuhide say pointing his sword. I blushed and got off the stage. "Miss, that was perfect!" The actress said. "Why did Mitsuhide go on stage?" I asked. "Well, let's say that Mitsuhide didn't want your first kiss stolen by a stranger," Zen said and gave him a smile.

    After the play, me and Mitsuhide walked around for a little. "Thank you for saving me from that kiss... I never kissed anyone before," I said with a blush. "You're welcome. I want you to kiss someone who's special to you," he said. "I cannot believe they let me keep the dress. I guess that I could use for something," I said. "You looked beautiful in that dress," he said. I looked at him and blushed. "Thanks..." I said softly. "Your eyes are such a pretty green and when I see you looking at the moon, it's so beautiful. When I see you cry, I want to hug you tight. When you smile, you brighten my day," he said.

    I blushed even more, "I feel the same, but what do you mean?" I asked. "...I...I..." He cupped my cheeks and leaned in closer and our lips touched and I closed my eyes. It was a warm gentle kiss... Or that's what I wished that happened. All we did was talk and I went back to my room. "Hey, Akari?" Mitsuhide asked. "Yes?" I asked and then he kissed my forehead. It actually was a couple days. "Mitsuhide, why do you do this?" I asked. "... I don't know... I just tell myself to do it," He lied, but I didn't know at the time. "Oh, ok. Goodnight," I said and walked into my room. "Yeah... Goodnight," He said.
