Although it was a slight undertone Hyelin caught it. Haru looked at their phones and noticed that they had matching cases. She got a bit salty. Couples are supposed to have matching cases not friends. Hyelin raised her brow. What's her problem?
Great I just became a fucking third wheel.
"Hey," Hyelin said nonchalant
"Hey I thought you were gonna go out with your family," Yukhei questioned as she sat down next to him
Hyelin looked down at the metal table. She fiddled with her phone to distract her. If there's one thing Hyelin hated it was being a third wheel. Especially in this circumstance.
"Yeah but they cancelled it last minute so I came to get coffee. I'm meeting up with Sarah later," She said laying her head on his shoulder
Yukhei noticed Hyelin not making eye contact. She was in her own world as of now.
"Anyway any other plans for the break?" Hyelin asked him making eye contact again.
"Honestly not really. I've been spending my time with this one, but that's about it," He chuckled referring to Haru
"Nice." Hyelin nodded
Haru smiled at Yukhei and kissed his cheek. But she was making eye contact with Hyelin. Hyelin rolled her eyes. Now she understood, someone's jealous.
"Oppa, we should go back to my place after this," Haru smiled widely 'whispering'
Hyelin mentally threw up. Is she really doing this when she's literally right in front of her? Pathetic. Sure she was still hung up on Yukhei, but she wasn't gonna try and steal him. Cheating is something she is totally against.
"Uh, are your classes still going well? Do you think you did good on finals?"
Haru answered for him, "Oppa is the smartest! I'm sure he did well on the exams. He studied his hardest all night. You know when we weren't together."
Hyelin nodded slightly, "Okay."
This was weird too weird for her liking. I should have stayed home and ordered pizza.
Haru began to giggle and she twisted her hair around her finger. She looked like the typical dumb blonde in a romcom. No offense to blondes of course.
"I'm gonna go grab a pastry," Hyelin said getting up to go inside
"No no, let me go get it," Yukhei said about to get up
Hyelin's grip tightened on her wallet, "No, No, it's fine I'll do it."
She made her way through the tables and people to go order something. To be honest, there was nothing she wanted. She just wanted an excuse to leave the scene.
God why didn't I think this would happen?
"Are you ready to order?" The cashier asked
Hyelin's eyes widened. In front of her was one of the prettiest girls in school, Mimi. Hyelin had no idea she worked here.
"Yeah can I get a chocolate muffin?" Hyelin asked
Mimi nodded and took the cash from her. She noticed that most of the guys and some girls here were all watching Mimi. Well it made sense, she is super pretty.
"Third wheeling? Harsh," she commented as her eyes motioned to the couple outside who were showing quite a bit of skinship.
"I wasn't supposed to be," Hyelin said annoyed "But what can you do?"
Mimi handed her the muffin and gave her the change.
"I would straight up leave. Especially if there's that much skinship going on," Mimi said with a disgusted look "Girlfriends should know their limits too."
Hyelin nodded, "Noted. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks."
Hyelin grabbed her muffin and maneuvered her way back to the table. Only to see the two completely making out. Hyelin rolled her eyes and kicked the chair to get their attention. They both stopped and pulled apart, a bit scared.
"This was nice and all and thanks for trying to make an effort, but if you're just gonna sit here and make out in front of me I'm leaving. See you around," Hyelin snapped taking her coffee and walking away
Yukhei gasped and pulled away from Haru, "Wait Hyelin. It wasn't supposed to go like this."
"Clearly, but you don't seem to mind it anyway!" She shrugged, not stopping to look back. "Enjoy your date!"
"Hyelin!"
"Fuck off dude! I'm serious!" She yelled walking faster.
She could have been a bitch and made a whole scene but she wasn't like that. At least not now. She sighed and pulled out her phone. No messages, no calls, nothing. She plugged in her headphones and listened to music. She was going to make a call, but there was no point. Hyelin got home shut the door behind her and plopped down onto her couch.
"What did I do to deserve this?" She groaned
She facepalmed herself but found something interesting.
"Am I crying?" She gasped sitting up quickly
She felt around her eyes and sure enough there were a couple tears.
"Why am I crying? I don't cry! Especially not over boys!" She exclaimed throwing her couch pillow towards the wall.
She opened her phone and made a quick call then texted someone else. Before going onto Instagram.
