Yukhei and the guys were about to start practice, but Yuta's goodbye was still on everyone's mind. It was hard, but they knew he was gonna be successful. Yukhei was still thinking specifically about what Yuta told him in private.

"Hey Yukhei come here real quick."

Yukhei looked up to see Yuta calling for him. He cautiously walked over to the other male. Not sure what to make of the situation. They were quite far away from the others.

"What's up?" Yukhei questioned.

"I need you to do me a favor," he said seriously.

Yukhei's eyes widened, "What kind of favor?"

"Nothing weird. Relax."

Yukhei felt a bit at ease, the guys sometimes asked for weird favors so he wasn't sure where Yuta was going with this one.

"Please check up on Hyelin. I am begging you. Usually I'd ask Jaehyun but with college and Taeyong I know they don't see each other often, but you see her daily. Please check up on her."

"Oh shit, yeah for sure. I'll keep an eye out for her. Don't worry hyung," Yukhei reassured him.

To be honest, Yukhei was already gonna check up on Hyelin. He knew this was gonna take a toll on her as soon as he left her sight.

"Thanks also. I know this might sound weird, but take care of her. You're probably the only other guy I trust near her."

"Got it. You can count on me," Yukhei nodded.

I'll make sure nothing hurts her again.

He came back to reality as he heard everyone talking.

"Did they break up?" Johnny asked.

"You didn't know?" Yukhei asked looking up at the guys.

They were making a big deal out of Hyelin's post. The last one, the guy wasn't showing but they knew it was her and Yuta.

"You knew?" Taeyong asked.

Yukhei nodded, "Yeah it stated in the contract. No significant others, relationships, all that stuff."

Johnny let out a groan, "Fuck now I feel really bad for pushing him to do it."

All the others agreed. They felt kind of bad. Though it wasn't their fault.

"Don't be. Hyelin wouldn't let him drop his dream for her," Yukhei said.

Jaehyun agreed, "That's true. She could be hard-headed when she wants to. Alright let's get practicing. Rumors of another competition has been spreading so let's do our best."

Yukhei got up, but stopped when he felt his phone vibrate.

Hyelin has sent a message

Hyelin:
hey yukhei
are you busy?
I dont think i should be alone rn
If you're not busy i'm at the convenience store

Shit, yuta must have left. Yukhei got slightly nervous, hyelin was right. She shouldn't be alone right now. She might do some dumb things if her mindset was in the wrong place.

"Hey guys I can't stay, something came up. Sorry!" Yukhei exclaimed grabbing his bag.

"Yukhei wait," Taeyong said.

Jaehyun stopped Taeyong, "It's okay let him go. I'm sure he has a valid reason."

Yukhei raised his brow. Did Jaehyun know? He choose not to question it.

"Go ahead," Jaehyun insisted.

"Thank you. See you guys!" He said before running out.

He began running towards the store. He sprinted for a good seven blocks. There was no time for him to call an uber or something, he needed to get their fast. As he got close he slowed down, but someone was standing in front of the store. The person looked up and made eye contact with him.

"Hye?" He asked.

Without hesitation Hyelin ran up to him, engulfing him in a hug. Yukhei was taken by surprise but returned the hug.

"He's gone, he's really gone," Hyelin cried.

"I'm sorry Hyelin. I'm sorry," He sighed.

He didn't know what to do in this situation. He wasn't exactly trained on how to help a friend cope with her boyfriend leaving to become a Kpop Star.

"Hyelin, Let's go inside and get you something to eat. Come on," He said putting an arm around her to guide her inside.

They sat down at a table, the farthest one away from the cashier.

"Hyelin? You gotta calm down," Yukhei said, "Take a slow deep breath. I'm gonna go get you some food."

He got up leaving Hyelin at the table. While he left Hyelin sat there unsure of why she even asked Yukhei to come here. It was more of an instinct. She just had to be with someone right now. A sigh escaped her lips. She used her sleeves to wipe away all her tears, she knew her eyes had to super red and puffy.

Yukhei came back with a bowl of noodles and a green tea drink.

"Go ahead eat up," He insisted, "I got myself a sandwich."

She slowly reached for the noodles and decided to eat. She didn't even realize how hungry she was until she finished the noodles in a few minutes. Yukhei looked up in surprise.

"I guess you were hungry huh," he chuckled.

"Yeah I didn't even realize how hungry I was," Hyelin admitted.

"Do you want any more?" He asked finishing his sandwich.

She shook her head, "Nah I'm okay. Do you?"

He shook his head, "I'm fine, but are you?"

Hm, Hyelin didn't really feel anything at the moment. She was sad but she was also feeling worn out.

"Honestly, I'm more worn out than sad right now," She sighed laying her head on the table.

Yukhei chuckled, "You should rest, it's getting late."

Hyelin looked at her phone, they've been here for almost three hours. Just talking. It felt refreshing though.

"Okay but do you mind if I call you as I fall asleep? Talking to someone is really helping me cope, but if you don't want to it's cool! I'll ask Jaehyun if he's not with Ty," She rambled on and on.

"Hye, it's fine," Yukhei chuckled, "I don't mind at all."

A smile grew on her face, "Thanks. I'm sorry for calling you out of the blue. I was- I still am a mess. I'll tell Jaehyun to not make you do planks or whatever he does to you guys."

"It's okay. Also Jaehyun let me come here and I didn't even tell him I was coming to see you. So there's no need to worry."

She smiled and thanked him again. He decided to walk her home

"I'll call you when I get home Okay?" He asked reassuring her.

She nodded and entered her apartment. It felt lonely to her. She headed off to her room to put on her pajamas.

It was cold but she didn't wanna wear Yuta's sweater. She hung it up in her closet. She did miss him but she didn't want to have to have something of his to keep her sane.

The sound of her phone vibrating brought her back. She got into bed and picked up the phone. She and Yukhei talked for quite a while. They talked about random things, anything that came to their mind. They strayed away from the topic of love of course, cause you know, they're both somewhat going through a break up. Before they knew it, they both fell asleep.
