They both looked at each other as a confused look washed over their faces. Hyelin's face began to heat up. Did she hear him correctly? Meanwhile yukhei was asking himself the same thing. He wasn't sure if she actually said it or if it was his imagination playing tricks on him.
"Huh? Wait you're not talking about the day6 song right?" He asked shocked at her sentence
"I was never talking about the day6 song, I just chickened out when I first said that I liked you," Hyelin admitted sheepishly with a small awkward giggle.
He was overwhelmed with emotions. Was this really happening? Did they both just confess to each other in such a beautiful scenario. Hyelin was freaking out on the inside. She couldn't believe that she actually admitted it this time. That wasn't the plan at all, but it just happened. The atmosphere just felt right.
"Wait are you talking about the day6 song?" She asked him fearing to hear his answer.
He shook his head frantically, "No, no! I mean the songs a bop but no I'm being serious right now. I seriously like you, I have for a long ass time."
Her cheeks began to turn red. He likes me!? Like for real? She played with her hands like she did when she got nervous or scared. Her nerves were getting the best of her.
"Well that's a relief," she chuckled, "The feeling is mutual I've liked you for a while too. For a long while." She emphasized.
A smile grew on his face as he blushed, "I'm glad. So does that mean I'm officially your boy?"
Hyelin chuckled laying her head on his shoulder, "You still wanna be my boy? I think boyfriend sounds better."
He felt his cheeks heat up even more (thank god it was dark), "That was bold. I was not expecting that."
"Expect the unexpected, but seriously. What does this make us then?" She asked unsure of their status herself.
They had already been on dates here and there, but they never established anything.
He laid his head on top of hers, "If you're okay with it I'm willing to put my all in this relationship."
She felt her cheeks burning up. He sounded so genuine it pulled at her heart strings. Was she finally getting what she wanted his whole time?
"Let's try this out lover boy," She smiled standing up to pull him up with her. He stood up as She pulled him closer, engulfing him in a hug before planting a kiss on his cheek.
He stood there star struck in the moment. He could get used to this. Finally.
