Monday morning was here and Hyelin was more or less excited to be going back to class. School was pretty much in it's final weeks so she was really only worried about her finals.
"My love!" Yukhei exclaimed engulfing her in a hug.
Hyelin smiled widely as he hugged her.
"I guess good morning to you too lover boy," She chuckled hugging the taller male, "You're extremely happy for it being a Monday."
"Why wouldn't I be happy? You're officially back," He said letting her go.
"Whipped," She teased.
He grabbed her hand and sighed, "I thought we already established that I am whipped."
She nodded, "Very true. Anyway I need info."
He raised a brow, "Ok."
She let go of his hand, "When is your last show cause you've given me no details sir."
He chuckled as they entered the school, "Okay. well it's on Saturday. Sadly the dreamies aren't gonna be there cause they have high school stuff to work on, but everyone else will be there and I think jaehyun said something about getting food after."
"Okay sounds cool. Dress code or no?" She asked.
"Nope, you could show up in sweats if you wanted to and don't worry about the location. I'll send you the address the morning of."
She smiled, "You seem oddly prepared and confident. I Stan."
"That's my natural charm," He smiled winking.
"You!"
They turned to see Yuqi and Lisa heading straight for them. A puzzled expression played on Hyelin's face. This is new.
"We need to borrow him," Yuqi smiled Angelicly as they dragged Yukhei away.
She raised a brow but thought nothing of it. She headed off to her locker.
Meanwhile Lisa and Yuqi took Yukhei to a more secluded part of the school.
"So what happened?" Yuqi asked impatiently.
"Ah well my surprise didn't exactly work out," He pouted, "Jaehyun and Taeyong showed up right when I was about to confess."
"Ouch," Lisa winced, "Sounds awkward."
He shrugged, "It wasn't that bad. It could have been way worse, but I did spend the day with her so yeah."
"So what now?" Yuqi asked.
Even he was unsure of what to do now. Should he try again or was it a sign not to?
"I honestly don't know. Third time was not the charm though," He chuckled, "I'll figure it out don't worry."
They nodded.
"You better," Yuqi chuckled.
The two girls left him alone after their supposed instigation. He chuckled at them. He didn't mind that they kept asking because it was all in good heart. They cared about Hyelin just as much as he did. Whipped culture at its finest.
He headed towards his class, but was stopped by, you guessed it, Yoora. He sighed.
"Yukhei got a minute?"
He stopped at the bottom of the steps and turned around slowly.
"I'm in a rush so can we make this quick?"
"Class doesn't start for another fifteen minutes though," she raised a brow, "Anyway it'll be quick."
"I've got somewhere to be. What's up?" He asked.
She pulled out her phone and showed him a picture.
"Look what I saw. Hyelin with some dude the other day. Remember when I told you she was with some senior? That's the same day."
He looked at the picture. He tried his best not to laugh at her stupid attempt to try and trick him. The picture was so grainy and pixelated he could barely tell if it was a couple or not. They seemed to be at a park with a river nearby.
"Uh first off, are you sure this is a couple?" He asked confused.
"Yeah! I was there," She nodded.
"Well first off this girl's hair is way shorter than Hyelin's and it's black. Hyelin's hair is fading gray. Second of all I know that guy," He chuckled.
Yoora raised a brow, "Who is it?"
"He doesn't even go to this school. That's Daniel and I'm pretty sure that the girl he's with is Soyeon. Just cause she's wearing the mini-mart uniform doesn't mean it's Hyelin. Nice try though," He chuckled walking past her.
"Wait," She grabbed his wrist, "I've got a question."
He looked at her hand that cling onto his wrist. He moved his hand releasing her grip, "What?"
"What do you see in Hyelin? Why is she better than me?" She asked seriously.
He was taken back by her question. He didn't wanna answer the question and sound mean because boy did he have a lot to say.
"Look. Everyone's attracted to someone different. So what I see in Hyelin isn't gonna be what some other dude sees In her. I can't really answer that," He shrugged.
"That's not true. Every guy likes Hyelin cause she's pretty," She snapped, "You're just like them."
He chuckled walking up, "That's not what I see in her, but she is pretty. I won't deny that."
Yoora stood there sighing in defeat. She was gonna get to the bottom of this and put an end to this.
Yukhei was laughing at Yoora's attempts to steer him away from Hyelin. She could try all she wants but she wasn't gonna crack him. He entered the class and took his seat next to Hyelin who was typing away at her phone.
"Whatcha up to?" He asked leaning over.
She almost dropped her phone not expecting to hear him.
"Dude you scared me," She sighed gripping her phone, "I was texting my brother."
"Oh sounds fun," He teased.
She rolled her eyes, "Yeah right. We're in a small argument right now, but that's what siblings are for."
"Sounds like a rough day. Can coffee make up for it?" He asked.
She turned to him with a smile, "Wong Yukhei are you asking me out on a date again?"
"You can call it whatever you want," He smirked turning to the lecture.
She was left dumbstruck, he was bold at times, but it was early in the day.
"Right in front of my textbook," Hyelin whispered, laughing thinking that nobody would hear.
Yukhei smiled a bit hearing her reference. He found it cute.
"I'm gonna take that as a yes," He whispered to her.
"It's a definite yes," She nodded patting his cheek.
