The pair walked into a cafe now that Hyelin was off of work. Today had definitely been the weirdest work day she's ever had. Thankfully it was over and there was no injuries. Even though Yukhei insisted he beat that guy's ass.
"I'm still heated," Yukhei sighed putting an arm around Hyelin.
"Don't be dummy. Yeah he was a dick but that's over now," She reassured him. "It's okay babe."
He pouted slightly. She raised a brow and stopped before they entered the cafe.
"What's wrong?" She asked pulling him aside so they didn't block anyone from passing.
"I don't know that dude just really got to me," He said a bit sadly.
"Baby," She pouted holding both of his hands, "What was it that bugged you so much?" She questioned.
It bugged Hyelin too but Yukhei seemed to be more on edge than she was. He intertwined their fingers before continuing.
"I don't think it was just him. I think it's the fact that those things could happen to you anytime anywhere and I might not be there."
He sounded so hurt as he spoke, Hyelin wanted to just cuddle and reassure him that everything was gonna be okay.
"I know babe, the world is a messed up place, but it's okay if you're not there," She smiled trying to lighten up the mood, "Trust me when I tell you I know how to defend myself. That's the very first thing my brother taught me. I'm okay. Do you just wanna go to my place to chill out? We don't have to go on a date today." She reassured him.
She understood how he felt, it's scary thinking something could happen to someone you love at any moment and there's nothing you could do.
"No it's okay we're already here," He smiled lightly, "But can we still cuddle afterwards."
She chuckled letting go of his hands to cup his face, "Duh."
She planted a small kiss on his lips before quickly entering the cafe to save herself from looking like a blushing mess. They both ordered their food and drinks and got them rather quickly.
"So what's the plan for Saturday?" He asked stirring his drink.
"No idea," She said honestly, "I was thinking about going to some fancy restaurant, but I don't know."
She felt like they always went to go eat, but she doesn't exactly know what else they could do, especially since they're still underage.
"Honestly that's not a bad idea and then we can have a little party at or something after," He suggested.
She sipped her drink, leave it to Yukhei to come up with a pretty good idea.
"You know what? I like that idea bonus points because seeing Jaehyun drunk is funny," She smiled nodding.
"I've got your back babygirl," He winked while smirking.
Hyelin's cheeks began to warm up again. He always did this to her.
"Hey," She playfully shoved him, "Whats with all these new pet names? You're getting pretty bold." She chuckled sipping her drink.
"Hmm? I've always been pretty bold, but I don't know I feel the need to be extra bold," He chuckled holding her hand.
"Cute," She smiled patting his cheek.
