I spaced out during my second class due to all the thoughts racing in my mind. Eventually, I got so tired I fell asleep in my third class. At least, that was why Ishimaru woke me up.
"CLASSMATE, SLEEPING IS NOT WELCOME IN A SCHOOL ENVIROMENT!"
God damnit...
I yawned and rubbed my eyes. At least it was time for lunch. I drowsily stumbled over to my locker and put my books in. I walked to the cafeteria, late by ten minutes. It seemed louder in there than usual. And why was everyone standing by the walls and not in tables?
I pushed through the crowd and saw that the only people in the center of the room were Gundham, Fuyuhiko, and Peko. Or should I say it was Gundham vs. Fuyuhiko and Peko.
I looked at Mahiru, who was standing next to me. "What's going on?"
"First they were just eating their lunch and suddenly they started yelling at each other. If they keep up this fight who knows what'll happen."
I saw Peko pull out her sword.
"You're right... I'm going to get my lunch now." I squeezed through and managed to get some fruit and chocolate milk. I decided to eat in the library. I tried to hear what Gundham was screaming about but couldn't make out a word. I walked out to the library and sat at an empty table. Actually, all the tables were empty. No one really set foot in this part of the school.
I opened up my milk and looked around. The only person I saw was Komaeda, scanning a bookshelf a few feet away. I never really talked to him so I didn't care. I drank my milk and sighed.
"Hey, are you ok?" Komaeda asked me.
I shrugged. "I've had better days. Don't worry about it."
Komaeda sat on one of the three empty seats at the table. "Do you want to talk about it?" His curiosity seemed kind. I didn't see anything bad about telling him about my boy problems. It'd probably be the most boring thing to hear.
"It's nothing you'd be interested in hearing. I just have a crush on three guys but I act like an idiot in front of them. I guess they're out of my league."
"Out of your league?" Komaeda asked, surprised. "You're all Ultimates, right? Your status, no matter what type, puts all of us above the talentless. Don't try to do anything to impress them. All you can do is to just hope one of them will even like you."
They way he said the word 'hope' was strange. He made it sound as if it was some magical power. I stared at him. "...Was that a friendly suggestion or an insult?"
He didn't reply as an insane grin spread on his face.
They were right, he is kind of creepy.
I got up and grabbed my trash. "I gotta go, thanks for listening!" I almost jogged away.
I walked back to the cafeteria. Things were back to normal. Even Gundham, Fuyuhiko, and Peko were sitting at their same table. I threw my trash away and sat in the same seat as yesterday.
"H-Hey guys...What was that f-fight about... and w-why are all of you still alive?"
Peko spoke up. "I was about to strike him, but my Young Master ordered me not to."
I hope that's a good thing...
"S-So what were you g-guys fighting about?"
"I'd prefer that the topic of our duel should not be known to mortals outside of our conflict." Gundham seemed on the verge of exploding again.
"This bastard flipped his shit when I said one bad thing about someone." Fuyuhiko answered. "Don't make it a big fucking deal."
I should probably shut up now.
The tension was so thick that you could cut it with scissors. The bell saved them all as they walked away, glaring at the person they were mad at.
