I sat out in the hallway next to my locker. I was confused that Mondo attempted to sit with me, angry that he was still acting strange still, and afraid that I might've hurt his feelings.
He can deal with it. His feelings aren't my problem right now.
Still, I was on edge to know if he'd even try to go to the dance. If so, with whom? I was suddenly hit with a strange feeling of jealousy right to my gut. It can't be jealousy, I'm just being protective of my friend.
I grabbed my books for my last class from my locker and began wandering the halls. Knowing these halls so well, I put my head down and started counting the floor tiles as I walked. My silent walk was short lived as I bumped into someone. I looked up to see that it was Togami. He adjusted his glasses and scowled at me.
"Watch where your going, filthy commoner. I just had this entire outfit ironed instead of buying off brand clothing." He sneered, referring to my outfit.
I laughed. "I didn't know you cared about fashion so much, asshat."
I saw I figure behind him run up to us. It was Fukawa, who stalked Togami on a daily basis. She was also known as Genocider Syo, her alternate personality of a serial killer.
"Shut your mouth, you cow!" She yelled at me. "If you touch Master, I...I'll--" She sniffed, as if trying to hold in a sneeze.
A sneeze...Shit!
She let out a loud sneeze. Her eyes got wider and her long tongue purposely stuck out. Her alternate personality had taken over. As if it was an everyday routine, she pulled two sharp scissors out of her skirt and placed one in each hand.
This is bad, what should--
A lightbulb went off in my brain.
My switchblade!
I grabbed my switchblade out of my pocket and flipped it open, pointing it at her.
"Oh, so the quiet girl's got balls now?" Syo commented, smirking. "Do you think just because you have a little knife means that you have a chance against me?"
"I wasn't planning on fighting you!" I objected. "I'm not that stupid! This thing is all I have in terms of self-defense!"
Suddenly, loud and almost commanding footsteps echoed behind me. I didn't turn around though, believing that once glance away from Syo would confirm my undoing.
"What is the meaning of this quarrel?"
God damn it, it's Gundham.
He walked in front of me, looking at Syo. "Answer, now!"
I peeked over his shoulder to see what was going on
Syo seemed unfazed. "Whore-face over here insulted my beloved." She pointed at me.
"Because he's got a stick so deep in his ass that he might as well be a popsicle!" I yelled back. I was also surprised Togami was just standing there, not doing anything.
Gundham looked at me, somehow shocked by my outburst. He cleared his throat. "I see that this is a waste of my time." He gently took my hand and lead me away from Syo and Togami.
I blushed and started to sweat. Embarrassed, I put my switchblade away. "W-Why did you h-help me...?"
He surprisingly looked straight at me. "I would prefer if you would...not concern yourself with questioning those reasons..."
I nodded and continued to walk with him to my next class. "T-Thank you..." The bell rang and I simply stepped inside the classroom.
But little did I know that someone was watching my every move.
And they did not like what they just saw.
