In this dream, I found myself laying on the ground. I tried to move my legs but they wouldn't budge an inch. I tried to move my arms, but it was the same result. I turned my attention to what was above me. A crowd of blurred out figures were above me. However, a yellow figure on my left was on their knees. If I had to guess, they were probably looking right at me.
"Damn it..." A black figure, a bit shorter than the others, cursed. "Out of all of us, why her?"
What are they talking about?
I looked at my arms and began to see the reason. They were covered in cuts and blood flowed out of them like a waterfall. But that wasn't all of it. My writs were tied with rope and spread out. That must be why I couldn't move them and my legs are probably the same way. I saw something sticking out of my left palm, also producing blood. I stared at it a few seconds more and realized it was a pocket knife, the same knife my dad had just given me. Finally, there was a metal pole sticking where my stomach should be. My only guess was I was stabbed by it. I tried to talk but my mouth refused to even move.
Was I...murdered?
"Don't worry everyone," A grey figure with white hair said. "You don't need to mourn a death that was a stepping stone for hope!"
Hope...?
The yellow figure turned to the grey figure. "Don't talk about her like that!"
"I agree," A green figure added. "Whether we knew her or not, let's not speak ill of the dead."
A brown figure squatted down to the yellow figure. "We have to start the investigation now. We'll find the killer, I promise."
Investigation? Killer? Who are these people, detectives?
"Yeah!" A white and red figure chimed in. "I'll beat 'em up! They should've picked on someone their own size!"
These people seem nice. Well, besides whoever 'killed' me.
The brown figure stood up. "This doesn't look like a simple murder. She must have been tortured."
"But what kind of information did the killer want?" A white figure asked. "It was surely of significant importance to them based on the state of the body."
The black figure bent down and looked at my left hand. "Whatever it was, she kept her fucking mouth shut long enough for the killer to pull this shit." They pulled the knife out and, to my surprise, I felt pain.
The yellow figure gasped. "That's the pocket knife she's been carrying around the last few days!"
The brown figure nodded. "She must have tried to defend herself with it, but the killer found a way to turn it against her."
Duh, why do you think it's stabbing my hand?
"Huh? She's had that thing all this time?!" The white and red figure yelled. "She could have killed any of us!"
The yellow figure suddenly stood up and ran away from the others. The black figure saw the yellow one run first and started to run after them.
"Wait Kazu--"
I was pulled out to reality by my alarm. I sat up in bed.
...What the hell was that?
It can't be...
But they had to have said Kazuichi, right?
The hamsters in the second one...Was whatever the 'punishment' was for Gundham?
And the white ball...That had to be a baseball. Then Leon killed someone?
No, that's not right...
None of that true...
They were all just dreams.
Right...?
