I cautiously walk into the library, scanning my eyes around looking for Carlos or anyone who's out to get me. From the corner of my eye, I watch someone pop up behind me, causing my instinct to kick in and I do a roundhouse kick on them. Carlos falls to the floor and I just stare at him annoyed.

He looks up at me. "What the hell was that for?!" He shouts and I place my hands on my hips.

"You can't just sneak up on me like that!" I shout back. He stands up and glares at me.

"Do you always do that when people sneak up on you?" He asks.

"Yeah. You deserved it anyway." He looks at me like I'm crazy.

"What? Why did I deserve that?"

"Because." I cross my arms. "You and your friends were just gonna beat me up anyway." I say. "Well they were gonna try." I mumble to myself.

"No we weren't. We just wanted to talk. But I'll be sure to tell them not to sneak up on you." He says rubbing his side.

He stares at me with his dark blue eyes expectantly. "Aren't you going to apologize?" He asks.

"Apologize? Why would I apologize?" I scoff.

"Because you just hurt me!"

"Well I didn't mean to."

"Exactly. So apologize."

"God, you're just like Clara. Are your kids gonna be this annoying?" He looks at me like I'm crazy again.

"One, ouch. I don't want to be like her. She's terrible." He grimaced. "And two, I will never ever have kids with her." He crosses his arms.

"Then why are you dating her?" I shake my head at him.

"Jealous much?" He smirks.

"No! Gross!" I cringe, backing away from him. I need to hurry up and get away from him and his mushy, oatmeal brain. "So, what do you want?"

"What do you mean?" I roll my eyes.

"Why did you want me to come here?" I'm beginning to lose my patience. Let's be honest. I had no patience to begin with.

"Oh yeah. Come on out guys! He shouts over his shoulder. Three boys wearing black all black appear. Emo? One pops out from behind a bookshelf, another comes out behind the desk you check the books out at, and the last one comes out behind the vending machine. They all look at me with a casual, relaxed look.

I blink, looking at all of them, processing what just happened. Then I erupt into a fit of laughter. They exchange puzzled looks. "What's so funny?" Carlos asks, frowning.

"What was that? Like, what did my eyes just see?" I laugh hysterically.

"These are my buddies." Carlos didn't answer my question.

"Oh ok. So like... are they trying to be ninjas or something? Cuz if so they need to work on that." I keep laughing.

"No..." He furrows his brows.

"Then what was that?" I ask holding my stomach because it hurts. Why does laughing hurt?

"They were hiding."

"Behind a vending machine?" I fall down. I gasp. "He should've got inside the vending machine!" I cover my eyes with my hands as I feel like I'm about to cry.

"I'll put you in the vending machine." The one who hid behind it growls, taking a step toward me.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! That whole dumb scene I just saw will be stuck in my head forever." I breath out, standing up again.

"Okay, I have a question." I say to the three boys. They look at me blankly, waiting. "If you had to hide for something serious, like people were chasing you with guns, would you hide in the same places you were just hiding in?" I ask, suddenly serious.

"I don't know." One on the end says. I shrug and look at the ground.

"So who are you people? The three musketeers who are terrible at what they do?" I ask looking back up at them. Wait, there's four of them including Carlos. So how would it be three musketeers? And isn't musketeers a type of candy?

"That's Jason." Carlos points to the dark blonde haired guy who hid behind the bookshelf. "That's Mikey." He points to the shortest guy with black hair covering his eyes who hid behind the desk. "And that's Jordan." He points to the tall, black haired guy who hid behind the vending machine.

"Jordan." I ponder out loud, tapping my chin. "Nah, I think I'll call you vending machine dude." I smile and he glares at me with his black eyes as his fists start shaking. "Look, I think vending machine dude is getting angry." I smile at Carlos, pointing to Jordan.

Jordan stands in front of me as i stare at the wall, trying to hold back a laugh. He throws his fist at my face but I quickly grab it and twist it behind his back.

They all freeze and gawk at me, waiting for my next move. I swing my foot out and hit his shins causing him to face-plant on the carpet.

"I can't believe she just did that." Jason mutters.

"Believe it," I mutter back, walking out of the library with a large grin on my face, felling satisfied.
