"Sadie." I hear. "Sadie. Wake up." "Please wake up!" I feel someone tapping my face repeatedly. I open my eyes and meet Carlos's. What is he doing?

"Fuck you want?" I snap and he sighs relieved. "What did you do?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.

"Nothing." He frowns. I look around suspiciously. I know he did something.

"Then why did you wake me up? I was having a fantastic dream. It was about me drilling holes in your face!" I shout. I just woke up and already I want to punch him.

"I was lonely." He says quietly.

"Lonely?! You interrupted my beauty sleep because you were lonely?! You don't do that! Ever!" I yell and he sighs.

"How do you feel?" He asks. I feel like pushing you off a cliff.

"Fine. Why?"

"You lost a lot of blood."

"Not enough to die." I mumble and he looks at me with a heartbroken expression on his face. "What?" I shake my head.

"Why did you say that?" He tilts his head to the side, his voice gentle.

"Say what?"

"You know what I'm talking about. Why did you say that?" He reaches up and caresses my cheek. Why. Is. He. Touching. Me.

"Cause I didn't lose enough blood to die." I shrug. "It's a fact."

"Is that a bad thing?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"Because Carlos!" I shout for no reason, other than this boy is severely irritating.

"What? You want to die?"

"Yes." I blurt out.

"Why?"

"Cuz you're annoying me." He rolls his eyes with an annoyed look on his face, huffing and leaning back in his chair.

"What?" I ask confused. He shakes his head, biting his lip as he stares at something to his right.

"Why are you so mean?" He looks back to me.

"Cuz that's how I was raised."

"Why don't you like me?"

"Cuz I'm not supposed to like anyone." I shrug. "Also because you're a total prick." I add.

"What did I do?" He throws his arms up at his side, exasperated.

"Everything."

"Ugh! Sadie!" He yells. What's his problem?

"What?"

"I saved you multiple times and you still hate me!"

"Well don't feel too special, I hate everyone." I say with a small smile. "Wait, when did you save me?" He looks at me and groans.

"When you drove into that lake and your pants got stuck on your bike, I helped get you off of it and I swam you to the surface. You're welcome for that, you never thanked me." He says.

"You're the reason we drove into the lake!" I shout.

"I also saved you yesterday when your stomach was cut." He ignores my statement. "If it wasn't for me then you would've been dead!"

"Well thanks a lot." I roll my eyes. "Also that's not multiple times, that's two times."

"Well any saving from death is good!"

"Well I've been in a lot more shit than that and I was fine. So it's not a big deal." He scoffs.

"Like what?"

"It doesn't matter." I shrug. He stands up from his chair and glares at me.

"How do your parents deal with you? You're just a jerk to everyone! You have no remorse for anything!"

"Because that's just what my dad made me." I huff.

"What about your mom? Doesn't she think you're crazy and you need help?!" My mom. I stare at him for a minute, feeling a burning desire to scream at the top of my lungs.

"Get out." I growl.

"What?"

"Get the fuck away from me!" I boom, crossing my arms and looking away.

"Why?"

"Because, now leave!"

"What did I do to you?"

"You were born, that's what you did!"

"Is it because I said you're crazy and you need help?" I snicker.

"No. I take that as a compliment." I shake my head. "Now leave!"

"Why?"

"Because!" Why can't he just leave me alone?

The door opens and we look to it, watching my dad walk in. He looks at Carlos with the same look I'm giving him. He heard what he said.

"Leave!" I yell at Carlos.

"Why are you so mad at me all the sudden?"

"Because I'm always mad! Now just get the fuck out before I have my dad put a bullet through your head!" He looks at my dad then back to me. He stomps out of the room and slams the door shut. I look down and shake my head. I hate Carlos freaking Colby!
