Abby's POV

I arrive to work at 5:30 am and climb up to the tower for the beginning of my shift. I spot Hutz and Bisho overlooking the beach. 

"Hello, boys... nice day?" I drop my bag on the counter. 

"Nice morning more like it, well of course it's too early to talk." Hutz says. 

"Oh, Hutz.. you're such a joy. Do you think I'm any better?" I chuckle lightly. "And sorry boys, I'm on tower duty, you'll get to hang out in the heat wave." I smirk.

Hutz smiles back. "And so am I, Abs."

I laugh. "Didn't see that coming." 

"The boards and signs, as well as the flags are out, where am I stationed guys?" 

I turn to see whose voice it belongs to and it's Maxi, I smile. "On the timetable you're between the flags with Jesse." I speak up.

"Thanks." He says without looking at me and picks up his radio. "I'm off." He walks out.

I frown and look out the window towards him... why do I feel like he's ignoring me now!?

"Okay, tell me that won't be a problem?" Hoppo walks in after his departure. 

I fake a smile. "He's probably having a bad day... there's nothing happening between us." 

Hoppo smiles. "Oh good.. back to work guys, Bondi beach's officially open!" He claps and walks out again toward the beach. 

"What happened between you two?" Hutz asks, leaning on the desk. 

I chuckle. "Right.. nothing happened."

"Absolutely nothing?" 

I groan. "Can't we just work, people are filing in.. and word on the waters tell me.. tides." 

"Abby, no one works properly when something's on their mind." 

I sigh and turn to face him. "Harrison... the thing on my mind is always the job." I say. 

"Always the job." He nods and picks up binos. "Good to know."

After a long... long minute, I put down the binos and glare at the beach. "He's ignoring me.." 

Hutz chuckles. "Want to tell me what happened?" 

"That sick week? That wasn't just a sick week... We kissed the night before.." 

He freezes. "You both... I can't be utterly surprised." 

"Yeah... so he ran off for a week after that kiss and we didn't talk until he came back. I got super mad at him, gave him hell until yesterday, he gave up and now... he's not talking to me!" I shout.

Hutz groans and shakes his head. "You both need to seriously have a chat, he likes you a lot." 

I sigh, once again. ".. I want to fix all this, because it's not only his fault."
