Abby's POV

The annual iron man challenge... and I was looking forward to it all day, except from this morning when morning sickness finally punched me in the gut. I still haven't told Maxi, but how do I bring up a baby when we're not even married? I want kids, believe me I do! BUT I've always wanted to be married for a year with someone until we get kids. 

I lean over the railing watching the ocean, the time was ticking till the challenge begins and Maxi wanted me to join all the fun, but all I can think about is how I'm going to tell him I'm having his baby!

"Hey, you alright?" Maxi jogs up the ladder. 

"I'm fine.." I smile and lean in for a kiss. "I'm just thinking about the challenge." 

He chuckles. "It's your first challenge, it'll be worth it." He says, wrapping his arms around me. 

Hell, it's now or never... I sigh. "Maxi, I'--"

"Maxi, come over yeah? We need to put up markers!" Gonzo shouts from below.

"Coming!" He turns to me. "We'll talk soon okay?" 

"Go ahead." I nod. 

He runs off and I shake my head at my idea of keeping it a secret, I need to tell him before it's too late. After the iron man challenge is the best way to go, I have time to think about what I'll tell him.

"First group, GO!"

I start with a jog in line with Gonzo, Jake, Chappo and Hutz. We pick up the pace when we're on Tamarama, I take off my shoes and run into the water, swimming quickly out into the ocean against ruff waves aiming for the turning point. It gets very rough, I turn two objects and swim back toward Tamarama, Hutz is in front of me with Jake and Gonzo is catching up with me. 

After beating the water I finally get back onto the sand and quickly grab my board, taking it out again, this time paddling back to Bondi. After paddling halfway I feel like my arms are going to fall off, at this rate everyone's in the water paddling or swimming. 

I see the beach in sight and quicken my pace, there's a lot of the guys in front of me by now, as my arms were new to paddling against the tides like this.. I must be maybe 4th? I get on my knees and paddle through past Hutz and Gonzo. 

"Hey!" Hutz laughs. 

I wink back at him and continue to the beach, it's so near now. I'm happy to say I drop my board on the beach's end and run like crazy to the finishing line. In front of me Hoppo and Deano pass through then Maxi before I finally cross too. That's the first for me! 4th place!

I cheer with the first 5 and high five Hoppo the winner for this year. 

"See, worth it." Maxi says from behind me whispering in my ear. 

I continue to watch the rest run in and turn around in his arms. "I have to tell you something." I say to him. 

He raises a brow and smiles. "Something good I hope, you know what? We can celebrate at home." He leans down to place a kiss on my head. 

"Maxi--"

"Trent's still got it!" Deano high fives him and they whoop it out... 

I cross my arms and watch Maxi talk with the other guys, Hutz comes over to me and pats my back. 

"Almost beat you." He winks.

I laugh and shake my head. "Oh, believe me. It was bound to happen, you're so full of your ego." 

He nods and looks at Maxi. "You going to tell him?" 

I frown and look at him. "What are you talking about, Hutz?" 

He leans forward so he's by my ear and whispers. "That you are pregnant." 

I widen my eyes and jump away from him. "Who told you? Mac or Carla?" 

He winces. "You were throwing up in the bathroom when I went into the locker room area... I kind of guessed. Plus you were kind of acting weird over the two days you've been working." 

I slowly go over and sit on the sand, Hutz comes and joins me, leaning over his knees. "He loves you, and would do the right thing. You're not chasing him away.." 

"I thought I'd tell him now.. but." I point to him. "He's having a good time." 

"It would turn his world upside down if you tell him now too, in a cute way." He bumps my shoulder.

I smile. "Thanks Hutz... I'll tell him soon, don't worry."
