Abby's POV

The beach is where I feel the utmost safest. But when I'm walking into Maxi's apartment, there's nothing better than this feeling in my heart and stomach, I don't know why, it doesn't make sense. But I'm putting the blame on the feeling because I'm with Maxi and whenever I'm with him it grows so much stronger. 

"Welcome to the Maxi Cavern." He chuckles and drops his stuff on the coffee table.

I laugh and shake my head at him, which I pretty much do a lot.

"Maxi Cavern?" I ask, trying to hold back the laugh. 

He shrugs and pulls me onto his lap on the sofa, I lean my head on his chest, I love this... "What should we do?" He asks. 

"Just lay here?" I ask.

He doesn't answer and I look up at him, he's looking out at the window and growls in his throat. I frown and look over at the terrace, it's a woman crossing her arms at us. 

"Fucking bitch." He mutters. 

I get off his lap. "Excuse me?" 

He shakes his head. "Not you, can you wait here one second?" 

"Sure..." I say slowly. 

He grumbles and walks off to meet the woman, I lean forward, watching her actions. She seems pissed and that's not the only thing that's off about her. As soon as Maxi closes the door behind him, he starts yelling... the closed door wasn't going to block it all, it's as clear as it can get.

"You aren't welcome here whenever you are off work!" Maxi yells. 

"Who is she?"

"It's non of your fucking business, this is my house and it's my life. I can do whatever I want in my home! This isn't your house, remember that!?" 

"I come back because I miss you, Trent." 

"If I remember correctly, you forced this break up between us. How many times do I have to tell you to leave me alone?"

The woman, who I know now is his ex. Just stomps her foot and stays quiet while he continues to shout at her about how he's fed up with her coming over to see him all the time and how she's a bitch... well, there was more to say other than bitch, but it's uncalled for. 

"Fine, you've seemed to move on without me." She growls.

"Yeah, I have. It's time for you to move on too, because we're not getting back together." 

She looks through the glass toward me and scowls. "Someone like her!?" 

"ENOUGH!" He yells so loud I almost jump off the sofa myself... I mean, that's a voice!

His ex scares off too and whimpers as she shakes her head at him. "Fine, I'm gone." 

"If you come near me again, I'll get a restraining order, I mean it, Kelly." 

"Fine!" She shouts. "I'm going now!"

She stomps off and I watch Maxi taking a minute to himself before his shoulders relax and he comes inside again. I just watch him with wide eyes, he knows how to get rid of her.. why didn't he do it before? 

"You alright?" I get up and walk toward him.

He smiles. "Yeah, I'm okay. You shouldn't have seen that.. I'm sorry." 

I take both of his hands in mine and pull him closer. "Exes don't push me away, and it won't change anything between us." 

He sighs and pulls me further into his body to kiss me softly on the lips, I put my arms around his neck and lean up to deepen the kiss... this man is going to be the ruin of me.
