Abby's POV

"You just sit here and I'll call you when I'm done." Maxi tells me as soon as we step foot into the apartment. 

I frown. "What are you doing?" 

"Just you wait!" He winks and opens the balcony, dusting off the chairs.

My phone rings in my pocket and I look down at the caller ID, it's Mac. I go to the bedroom and shut the door, so he won't hear me... 

"Mac." I answer.

"Carla told me." 

I close my eyes and collapse onto the bed. "Yeah, she was suppose to anyway.. I couldn't bring myself to say it."

"Oh Abby.." 

"Mac.. what if he doesn't want a kid now?" I ask her. "I have to tell him...like now." 

"Yeah, well.. now is a better time than any." 

I nod to myself. "I should do this and rip the band aid right off.. I'll talk to you later, Mac." 

"Call me when you're okay to talk?" 

"Of course." I smile. "Talk later." 

"Bye!" 

I hang up and walk out of the bedroom, Maxi grins at me widely. "Come, we're all set." 

"Set for what?" I ask.

He takes my hand and leads me to the balcony, there's a bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of sparkling wine already poured into two glasses. I freeze and chuckle nervously. 

"Wow... you went all out." I say slowly. 

He chuckles and sits me down. "Cheers to the first iron man you've ever done." He gives me my glass. 

"Maxi, I --"

"Don't thank me, it's nothing really... I felt like sitting out here to watch the sunset." He says. 

"Maxi." 

"Yeah?" He sips from his glass. "You going to sip some? I bought it fresh.." 

I wait till he swallows and smile at him nervously, god my heart feels like it's going to rip out of my chest. 

"I have something kind of important to tell you and I hope you don't jump off this balcony after I tell you." I tell him. 

He puts his glass down and frowns. "What's wrong, Abby?" 

I take a deep breath. "Ahm... remember that pregnancy box you found in the trash two days ago?" 

He nods. "Yeah, Mac's." 

I clear my throat. "Well you see, I wasn't that honest when I said it was hers. Because it isn't...it was actually mine and I didn't know what to say to you..?" 

He stills and turns fully to face me. "Wait, what now?" 

I wince. "Maxi... I'm pregnant." 

He looks at me with wide eyes and the silence grows, I'm about to just leave but he pulls me back down and finally... smiles, like the most sweetest smile. He strokes my cheek softly.. 

"I'm going to be a dad...?" He whispers. 

I nod slowly. "Yeah.."

"When did you find out?" 

"About 3 days ago, I didn't know how to tell you and I was scared that you'---"

He interrupts me and kisses me, pulling me closer to him. I link my arms around his neck and relax into his arms...

"This is the best news I've ever gotten.." He says against my lips. 

"Really?" 

"I'm over the moon.."

I smile and press a soft kiss on his lips, what was I worrying about this whole time? Hutz was right, this is the man for me and he'll always be here. 

"I bet it's a boy." He looks down at my stomach. 

I giggle. "How much do you wanna bet?"
