Lorenzo.

I sighed deeply, ready to be yelled at. I look behind her, and I could see my father standing with his arms crossed. "What are you doing here?" She asked calmly, also crossing her arms.

"I came to tell you I'm sorry," I began, "for everything that I have done. I know it was wrong and I shouldn't have done it. I disrespected the both of you, and I regret it. I only came to beg for your forgiveness, please? I miss you guys so much, Im tired of living with guilt, knowing that I've done wrong, and I need to make it right. Please forgive me?"

She warred at me with her arms crossed, before reaching her ants out. She hugged me, and I hugged back even tighter. "I cant stay mad at you forever, baby. I forgive you."

I cried on her shoulder, not because I was upset, I was happy that she finally forgave me. "Happy birthday, Zo." She said calling me by my nickname from my childhood.

"Its good to have you back son." He said patting me on my shoulder."Gramma!" I heard a little girl yell around the corner. "Who's that?"

"That would be your niece. Your brother Chresanto had a baby a couple years ago." She smiled widely. She peeped around the corner, looking at me. She grew shy and tried to hide, but I could still see her.

"Baby don't be so shy, come on out." My mother said. She slowly stepped and hid behind my fathers leg. He picked her up and walked to me. I reached my arms out, hoping she would come to me. She stared me down, before finally reaching for me also.

I picked her and held her. She wrapped her little arms around my neck and hugged me. I heard someone snuffle, and looked to see my mom crying. I smiled at her to know that everything was okay.

She lifted up and stared into my eyes while grinning, "what's your name?" I asked her. "Brianna." She mumbled. "My name is Lorenzo, I'm your uncle."

"Uncle Zo?" I turned to my mom, and smiled at her, "I see I have been spoken of."

"Your brother talks about you all the time. He just misses you."

"Where is he?"

"He should be-" She was cut off by some one walking through the door. It was Chresanto, or my younger twin is what I used to call him when we were younger, everyone said we look just alike. I put Bri down, as she ran to my mom. They went into the kitchen to feed her.

He stared at me for before tackling me to the ground. "I missed you so fucking much, no gay shit." He said hugging the hell out of me. "I missed you too, lil' nigga."

"You gotta job, Zo?" My father called out to me. "Yeah, its shitty though."

"There's this new job opening down at August Headquarters, and I was wondering did you want to apply?"

"Don't you need a college degree to be working at a business like that?" I asked.

"Yeah, but don't worry about that."

For the rest of the day, I had spent time catching up with my family. Savoring every moment. I had enjoyed their company, and the best part was that it took my mind off of Lorraine.

I walked through my apartment door, throwing my keys on the coffee table. I went to my bedroom and pulled out my sketch pad, flipping through the many drawing of Lorraine and I.

Slipped a few tears, wondering why did she have to leave so early? Why did she have to leave me? I thought that we loved each other, but to be honest, I will never understand the true meaning of love. But I really loved Lorriane.

I opened to an empty page, and started to sketch a picture of the night me and Lorraine made love: two days ago. Some people say, if you love something, then let it go. I don't want to forget about Lorraine. Trying to forget about someone you love, is like trying to remember someone you never knew.

Happy birthday, Chresanto Lorenzo Romelo August.
