Chresanto.

We drove around the neighborhood Bri's mom lived in. I looked around, seeing that nothing had changed. I told Lorenzo to stop the car once we came close to her house. I slowly got out of the car, closing the door behind. I stood there staring at the house. "What are you waiting on?" Lorenzo said behind me. I was slowly walked up the steps, ringing the doorbell.

I looked down at my shoes, hearing the door open. "Can I help you?" I heard a voice. I looked up, seeing her stand right before me. She looked better than ever. She jumped on me, giving me the tightest hug. "Oh my god," she cried. I hugged her back. I looked back at Lorenzo who had a grin on his face. "Can I talk to you?" We both stepped inside, and I told Lorenzo to come back later. "What do you want to talk about?" She said sitting on the couch. I sat next to her, fiddling with my fingers. "I have to got to rehab soon, and while I'm gone, I need you to watch Bri."

"Why are you going to rehab?"

"I'll tell you about it later, I just need you to watch Bri while I'm gone." She slightly smiled, grabbing onto my hand. "I still love you," she mumbled. It was strange to hear. "Even after I left you when you needed me the most?"

"I was on drugs, I understand."

"No, it was wrong of me. I should've helped you instead of leaving you." I looked at her, seeing her beautiful face. She had a grin on her face that made me smile. Seeing her took my mind off of all my worries, she made me happy. "Where's Bri?" She asked after a moment of silence. "She's with my parents."

"Can I see her?" She asked quietly. "Of course."

"Who's that?" My mom asked. "This is Leanna, Brianna's mom." I said quietly. My mom gave me a shocked look before saying, "good luck," then walked away. We both slowly walked up the steps, stopping in front of Bri's room. "Wait I'm nervous, what if she doesn't like me?"

"We'll just have to find out."

I opened the door, seeing her sitting criss crossed on her bed, watching Spongebob. "Daddy!" She yelled running to me, and jumping into my arms. "I missed you," she said kissing all over my face. I hugged her, "I missed you too," I said kissing her back. I looked behind me, seeing Leanna still standing in the hallway. I realized she wasn't stepping in, so I walked into the hall way way. "Who dat?" She asked giving her a strange look. I looked at Leanna, waiting for her to say something. "I'm your... mommy." She said quietly. "Is that my mommy?" She said turning back to me.

"Yes, yes it is." She jumped down from my arms, and slowly walked to Leanna. Leanna bent down slowly reaching her arms out. She hugged her tightly, putting a smile on my face. "That is so precious," my mom said sniffling behind me.

"How did everything go?" Lorenzo said once he answered the phone. "Better than I expected. Leanna is going to keep Bri while I'm in rehab, I thought it would give them sometime to bond."

"When do you plan on going to rehab?"

"After Bri's birthday."

"You and Leanna back together?"

"Not exactly, we just talked things out." I looked over my shoulder, seeing Bri and Leanna happily talking to each other. "You guys should come by, Lorraine wants to meet Leanna."

"Sure," I said before we ended our conversation. "We gotta go," I said to Leanna. "Where are we going?"

"To my brother Lorenzo's."

"You have a brother? I never met him."

"He wasn't around when we met."

Leanna sat in the back seat with Bri and talked away about how much Bri loved me as a father, it made me feel good. It also made me feel guilty for leaving her with my parents for a while. That will never happen again.

There shall be s sequel, coming soon.
