Chapter 7

  Kat's P.O.V

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I closed my eyes. This had been my worst fear as a little kid. Dying like this had even been in my nightmares. Even now, I can remember the sickening thud of hitting the ground, and my scream when I woke up. I couldn't believe this was how I was going down. 

"Oh dear God, why did you make me die like this" I whispered.

Then, I felt something grab me. I looked back, and it was Mabel, and her grappling hook. She also had Dipper with her. I gasped. It was a miracle.

"Where's Kaylie" I asked, almost breathless. Mabel nodded to behind me. Kaylie was falling fast. I reached out as far as I could, and grabbed her. Her eyes lit up when she saw me.

"Your ok!" She exclaimed. I nodded, grateful for the concern. I hugged her, just as we reached the ground. I breathed a sigh of relief, but my relief did not last long.

Gideon's robot parts were scattered everywhere. People were crowding the area, each wondering who did this. Gideon stumbled out of it, coughing and sputtering. He fell.

"Lil Gideon! Who did this!" The police officers ran forward. Gideon's icy gaze met mine, filled with malice he sneered. He then went back to his innocent facade.

"It was the Pines twins, and their little friends! Arrest them, please!" He said in a fake whiny voice. He then started faking crying.

I wrinkled my nose in disgust. What a awful person. Also, I was appalled by how stupid the townspeople were. Could they seriously not tell that Gideon was fake.

"Kids, you are under arrest for hurting our Lil Gideon" One of the police officer's said, pulling out handcuffs. My mind was whirling. 

"Wait, let's talk about this-" Dipper begged.

"Sorry kids, but we trust Gideon. Only a miracle can get you out of this dilemma now" The police officer's said, sneering. Suddenly, a red, old looking car speed into the clearing, stopping with a horrible screech. 

"WAIT!Wait! Stop everything! I've got somethin' to say!" Stan yelled, running out of the car. I smiled. Of course. Stan was going to help.

"Not this guy again" One of the police officer's groaned.

"Blubs, Durland, Just wait! Look! You guys all think Gideon is so perfect and honest, 'Oh! I could never tell a lie! I'm Gideon!'' Stan mocked Gideon.

"He's more honest then you!" Blubs protested.

"Yeah, and he's psychic too!" Durland pointed out, his eyes shining. I cringed. These people really were oblivious to everything. Even the paranormal in this town, they didn't know. I inwardly begged Stan to do something smart.

"How's this for psychic? Bam!" Stan exclaimed, kicking down a panal on the Gideon-Bot. It revealed hidden cameras. I gasped.

"Take a good look!" Stan said, eye's shining with pride. Forgetting Gideon, the townspeople leaned forward to take a good look.

"Wait a minute, is that ME?" Lazy Susan exclaimed.

The Camera showed Lazy Susan talking about her coffee omelet. 

"The secret ingredient to my coffee omelet is coffee!" The Lazy Susan on the camera said, pouring coffee into a pan.

"AND ME!" Toby Determined exclaimed, pointing to another camera.

"I can verify that that birthmark is indeed disgusting." The doctor on the camera said, a grave expression on his face.

"Hooray!" Toby exclaimed.

I winced as the rest of the town people shouted "That's me! That's me!" when they spotted themselves.

"That's right, these pins are hidden cameras! And my hearing aid was picking up the feedback! Who's the fraud now?" Stan declared. He crushed the pin, revealing a camera in the eye of it.

The townspeople all broke their pins, and looked at Gideon.

"Gideon, we gave you our trust.." Durland said sadly.

"You LIED to us!" Wendy's dad shouted in anger.

"Please, I..it's not what it looks like..what are you going to do with me?" Gideon said, trembling.

"Tyler?" Durland looked at Tyler. Tyler wiped a tear away.

"Get 'im. Get 'im." Tyler said, shaking his head sadly.

  "Lil' Gideon, you are under arrest for conspiracy, fraud, and breaking our hearts. Durland, the tiny handcuffs" Blubs declared, looked sad. 

I watched with interest as Durland put the tiny handcuffs on Gideon.

"Wha-no!" Gideon protested. I rolled my eyes.

"What did you think was going to happen when you tried to kill Dipper, Mabel, Kaylie, and I?" I retorted.

"You-"  Gideon's eyes flashed with anger.

"Just one more thing" Stan interrupted, shaking Gideon.

A journal and a few more things dropped from Gideon. The most notable was the deed.

"I believe this belongs to me" Stan said, picking up the deed. Gideon just glared at him as he was dragged into the police car.

I warily picked up the journal, and handed it to Dipper.

"Thanks" Dipper whispered as he put it back in his vest.

"Let's go home" Stan said. I was grateful, and we went in the car, and went back to the shack.
