Somewhere in Gravity Falls|OC Story

Chapter 30

         Dipper and the others had made it back to the shack, but they were surprised at what they saw. Everyone, including most of the supernatural creatures that Mabel and Dipper had faced were there. Apparently, the unicorn hair spell had worked, and it was impossible for the weirdness of Bill to get at the shack. Dipper had also been shocked to learn that Mabel had been fixed from her trance, and she apologized for everything she had done under Bill's control, though Dipper guessed not everything she was saying was very genuine, especially the bits about Kat. Dipper wondered why.

They were making plans now to go defeat Bill, and Ford had just brought up something important.

"There was a zodiac in the cave where I first summoned Bill. It promised that if you brought all the people together, drew the circle, and joined hands, that Bill and his weirdness would be gone, but you would have to be in a place near Bill" Ford explained. Everyone seemed to understand.

"So do we go to Bill's castle?" Dipper asked, afraid of the answer. Ford nodded solemnly.

"Ok, but how do we even get up there?" Pacifica asked. Dipper looked at Ford questioningly. Ford thought for a moment, before deciding.

"I have a device I made to while back, that enabled you to float..let me get it" Ford said. He turned away and went towards the vending machine. Dipper sighed, as Kaylie walked up to him, looking sympathetic. 

"We both want her back you know..we will do this.." Kaylie whispered. Dipper gave her a small smile, knowing how upset she had been when she had found out.

Kaylie looked around, concern in her eyes. Dipper felt a emotional pain in him as he realized what she was looking for.

"Where's Kat?" Kaylie asked. Dipper sighed, and put a hand on her shoulder.

"She was taken by Bill...I'm sorry" Dipper said. Kaylie's face fell

Ford came up at that moment, with the device. 

"Ok, so let's go" Ford said, a determined look on his face. Dipper was a little nervous, but he couldn't show it, due to him wanting Ford to think he was good still.

Ford grabbed a few people who fit the symbols, and they went off, through the woods. Dipper heard a cough, and his heart beat faster.

" Great Uncle Ford, maybe we should check that noise out?" Dipper suggested, glancing at the bush that it had come from. Ford nodded, and they went over. Dipper parted the bush, and they found a familiar girl coughing.

"Kat!" Dipper exclaimed. He couldn't believe it. She was here, and she was ok. Kat smirked at him in a teasing manner.

"You didn't think that I would not escape, right?" Kat laughed. Her laugh seemed odd to Dipper, and he glanced at Ford, who was narrowing his eyes at Kat, as if inspecting her.

"Dipper, look at her eyes..it's not Kat..I think it's Bill!" Ford whispered. Dipper blinked, and looked at her eyes. Sure enough, there was a slight yellow tint, and the cat-like pupil. Dipper gasped.

"Bill!" Dipper exclaimed in fury. 'Kat' raised a eyebrow, then smirked.

"Took you a while to figure out, Pinetree" Bat laughed. Dipper growled, and forced himself not to lunge at Bat.

"Ford, what do we do! We can't do the thing we were going to do, or Kat will be sucked back to the Nightmare Realm too!" Dipper whispered in panic. Ford sighed, and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Dipper..the memory gun" Ford asked. Dipper's throat tightened.

"There has to be an-" Dipper started.

"I'm sorry, but there's not." Ford sighed. Dipper's heart twisted in his chest.

"Fine..I'll do it" Dipper sighed. He took the memory gun out of his vest pocket, and shakily aimed. He hit Bat right in the head. 

Everything started disappearing, as promised. Bill was gone, but they had paid a heavy price.

Kat sat there, opening her eyes...not remembering anything.
