Connor couldn't look away, and neither could... it.
He rubbed his eyes, but it didn't go away. Slowly he grabbed his phone, and called his boyfriend.
"Connor? Hey! What's uh, what's, what's up? You okay?"
"Evan, what would you do if I told you I have a small version of you in my hand right now?"
The other side was silent for a moment before finally answering. "You... are you high?"
"Evan, being high doesn't give you like, figments and stuff. And yeah I am. But that's beside the point." Connor added, moving the little Evan onto his desk near his bamboo plant. "It's you. But small."
"I'm coming over, but only because I'm worried about your uh, you're health."
Connor hung up the phone, looking at the smaller Evan who'd now started climbing the plant. It seemed to be content near the plants, which made sense. "What the hell am I gonna do with you?"
———
"Oh my god."
"Evan, baby, calm down. You're gonna scare him."
"I'm gonna scared... Connor. That's me. But small."
"Yes Evan. I two have eyes." Connor took a breath, moving the smaller Evan to his desk. "Sorry. Didn't meant to snap. It's just... you know. Small Evan."
"Yeah, uh... shit. What are we gonna do?"
"Okay, not gonna lie, I'm keeping him, so suck it." Evan didn't protest. He sat on his boyfriends bed, watching the smaller him move around Connors desk in amazement. "Dude, lets like, fucking build it a house."
"I... Okay. How?"
"Uh... Zoe still has that doll house."
"Doll mansion, but sure, doll house."
"Okay, well it should have enough stuff to like, make him feel at home. Right? Yeah, probably." Connor got up, walking towards the door. "And hey, if you need anything, feel free. Just take mini you, Okay? My parents aren't home, so don't worry about that."
"Okay, Yeah, sure." Evan smiled, watching Connor leave.
"Squeak!"
"Nope! Nope! Fuck!" Evan yelled loudly, standing on Connors bed. "Connor! Connor it, it said something, help!"
Connor rushed back into the room, finding two distressed Evans on opposite corners. He gently held the smaller Evan, gently petting its hair. He slowly moved towards his Evan, holding his free hand out so he could help Evan down. "Evan, small Evan, it's okay."
The smaller Evan squeaked again, cowering into Connors hand more. "Hey, hey. It's okay. He won't hurt you." He held onto Evans hand, pulling him with him towards the play room they never used anymore. "Evan, can you move the doll mansion? I'll hold mini Evan."
Evan nodded his head, too freaked out to protest. He carefully moved the doll mansion to Connors room, placing it gently on the floor. He quickly got to work on removing anything that could be seen as 'scary' to mini Evan, and making sure everything was safe and easy to get to.
"It uh, it's a very realistic, very realistic mansion, Con." Evan said, trying to break the awkward silence. "It uh, well, Evan, should be able to get everywhere." He scooted back, thinking. "Uh, I'll go get some, uh, food, and then, and then the house should be ready, so. Yeah."
Evan awkwardly got up and out of the room, leaving Connor and mini Evan alone. Connor slowly moved his hand down, putting it on the floor. Reluctantly, mini Evan jumped off, and walked towards the giant main staircases. Connor watched as the mini Evan walked around his new house, taking in everything.
Evan quietly came back into the room just as mini Evan found his bedroom. He watched as the mini version of himself climbed into the bed and got comfortable. Evan himself carefully put the food he'd gotten into the kitchen, making sure not to shake the doll mansion.
Once he was done, he noticed mini Evan was asleep, peaceful in his bed. He sat down next to Connor, taking his hand. "I'm too young to be a parent."
"Aren't we all."
"Connor, Connor. What are we gonna tell our parents?"
"Great question."
"Connor please."
