Evan bit his lip, looking back to Jared. "Can I kiss you? Please. Sorry."
Jared smiled softly, leaning in closer so Evan could take control. Evan gently placed a hand behind Jared's Head, pulling him in. He moved onto Jared's lap, straddling him. He leaned down, putting his mouth on Jared's, and letting Jared open up a little before diving in.
Eventually, Evan pulled away. "Wow. Uh, that, uh, tasted different. It felt... weird? Why was your mouth sparking?"
"It's the pop rocks, babe. Want some?"
Evan took a deep breath, fighting the smile on his face, but loosing the battle. "Yeah. Yeah, I uh, I do."
———
"Hey, Jare." Evan meekly said, putting his backpack on Jared's bedroom floor.
"Hey Evvie-Bevvie. What's shakin', bacon?" Jared asked, excitedly sitting up. He put his phone down, smiling wide at Evan.
Evan smiled, feeling all the tension from his day instantly go away. "How, uh, how are you, how are you, uh, doing?"
"Me? I'm fine. You good though?" Jared asked, seemingly studying Evan. "You seem like you had a bad day. Oh! Uh, want me to make you some chocolate milk?"
"No, no, I'm fin-" Evan stopped himself, and looked back at Jared. He'd looked so excited to be of any help to Evan, to feel important to Evan. "Actually, Yeah. Can you? I don't want to bother you."
"It'd be my honor, your majesty." Jared stood up quickly, bowing before grabbing Evan's hand and kissing him. "Anything for you."
———
"Hey, uh, Jared?"
"Yeah?"
Evan paused, letting the silence of his bedroom fill his ears. "Never mind. It's whatever."
"If you want to talk to me, you can. But it's not whatever, sweetheart." Jared said quietly, rubbing Evan's hand.
"Did you just quote that one movie?"
"The absolute amazing one? Yeah. I did. But like, seriously. You good fam?" Jared shifted, looking intently into Evans eyes. "I know I'm a little rough with emotions and shit, but I'm trying. How can I help you?"
"I'm fine, I swear I'm fine, I just, ugh." Evan say up, with Jared following soon after. "I uh, I really want to... to something."
"Like what? Play video games? I think I left my DS here..."
"No, I uh..." Evan fiddled with his hands, looking away from Jared. "I just, I just really want to go uh, go the park? I know you don't like the outside! I know! And I'm sorry I like it, but I just really want to go out, you know? To the park. But we can play video games, it's fine."
Jared stood up, making his way to Evans desk. He grabbed his keys, and twirled them on his finger. "You coming?"
"Wait, seriously?"
"Well, Yeah. Why wouldn't we go? You want to go."
"But you don't like the outside!"
"Yeah, But I love you. So it evens out."
Evan couldn't hold back his smile. "I love you."
Jared smirked, ignoring the swelling feeling in his heart. "I know."
