"Hey baby."

"Don't 'hey baby' me!" Alana said, closing her locker. She stormed away, Connor instantly trailing after her.

"Stop following me."

"Baby? Alana? Sweetheart."

"No!" Alana sped up, knowing Connor wasn't as fast as her.

"Doll, I know it's... your time of the month."

Alana huffed, but slowed down enough for Connor to walk next to her.

"I made you a gift basket? And I'll stay with you during your transformation, doll." Connor gently pulled Alana to the side, holding her hands. "Hey. I know like, uh, transforming stresses you out, but I'm here for you love."

Alana sighed, instantly wrapping her arms around herself. "I'm sorry." She said quietly.

"Hey," Connors hypnotic voice commanded Alana to look at him. He instantly softened. "It's okay, baby. I know what I got myself into when I started dating you. I knew about your transformations."

"Into a beast." Alana angrily told herself.

"No. Into you're, uh, like, second transformation I guess. It's not, being a werewolf isn't a bad thing, you know."

Alana shook her head. "You're just lucky. You're a vampire. You don't understand what it's like to lose all of your control. To... to wake up, and not know what you did the night before. Who you," Alana paused, hating the words coming out of her mouth. "Killed."

"I'll be right there with you. I'll make sure nothing happens."

"No. I don't want anything to happen to you."

"I'll protect myself and you. Besides, it's kinda hard to kill me."

"Connor," Alana couldn't help the smile on her face. "Baby. I uh, look. Thank you for the gifts. It means the world to me. And thank you for like... I don't know. Sticking with me?" Alana sighed, her smile fading. "But you're not coming tonight."

"Fine." Connor stated. "But I'll come tomorrow morning and help you get situated."

Alana rolled her eyes, but the smile was back on her face. "Fine."

Connor smirked, giving her a quick peck on the lips. "I'll see you tomorrow morning, love."

Alana sighed, not showing the worry on her face. "See yah."
