"You are far from fucked. Unless that's your goal for Valentine's Day. In which case, yes, you are."

Chloe glared at Brooke, doing her best to hide her smile. "She has a point. Jeremy is going to love them!"

"But like, I don't know man. Is this too cheesy or whatever? What if he hates it?"

"Michael, everyone, and I mean everyone loves getting a stuffed animal and chocolate for Valentine's Day. Literally you can't go wrong."

"Well, what if he thinks it's cheesy? What if like, he's like, allergic or something? Oh! Or what if-"

"Brooke, you are not helping. At all."

"Right yeah. No yeah he'll love it." Brooke instantly replied, nodding her head so slow it was almost comedic.

Michael sighed, looking at the gifts in his hands. "And you're sure he won't think it's dumb. Like, I don't know, I feel like I should be doing more? He's just... he's just so sweet and caring and gentle and I just want to give him something good, you know."

"And trust me," Chloe said, smiling gently. "This will be good. Hey, maybe it'll even earn you a little fun time." She gave him a wink, and Michael returned her gesture with his middle finger. "Hey, I'm just saying!" She added defensively.

Michael sighed, running his hands through his hair. He let out a groan, his eyes rolling upward before he snapped up. "I'll write him a note! A note. A note."

"Um, no offense, but uh," Brooke started, then she paused. "No wait. Actually that sounds really good. Do that! He'll fall head over heels for you!"

"Brooke, he's already head over heels for Michael. They're fucking dating."

"Oh yeah."

"Okay, so a letter, chocolate, and a teddy bear? Perfect? That's it?" Michael asked, ignoring the tension between the two girls.

"Yes." Chloe said, her attention back on the boy. "Then you'll totally get some dick."

Michael smiled, showing her the bird again.
