In Love With My Best Friend

chap 7 ; wait, what?

i woke up by the bright sun shining on my face.

i tried covering it by my hands but it was so bright, i could still feel and see the sun.

i quickly got up and closed the curtains.

i got back to the couch and layed down next to kayjake, who is still sleeping.

i had to sleep on the couch last night because i know if i slept in the same room as jake, he'd hear me cry myself to sleep.

yep. i cried myself to sleep last night because knowing my bestfriend aka my crush. has a crush on another girl completely ruined me.

but you know. again, he can like whoever he wants to like.

i sigh.

i close my eyes but quickly open it once i hear the bedroom door open.

i look up and see jake come out.

he stopped and looked at me.

jake - "why didn't you sleep in the room?"

me - "the room is too cold" i lied

jake - "there's a thing called blankets?" he says in sarcasm

me - "shut up jake, i know there's blankets. but i couldn't just leave kayjake alone at night" i lied again

jake - "well i could've just slept here instead of you sleeping here ya know?" he raised an eyebrow

me - "oh i know. but the couch is soo much comfier"

i didn't lie about that part though.

the couch is actually really comfy.

jake - "okay whatever"

me - "um okay. soo jake, what's for breakfast?" i say getting up.

and when i got up kayjake woke up as well.

as soon as he saw my face he ran up to me.

i bend down and pet him.

he did the same to jake.

after petting kayjake, jake got up.

jake - "well, since we don't have food yet, do you wanna eat at iHop instead?"

me - "yeah. that would be perfect" i smile

jake - "okay. go get ready"

i went inside the room and picked an outfit

outfit ;

high wasted jean shorts

#nofilter crop top

black toms

i got my clothes and went inside the restroom locking the lock.

i quickly changed into my clothes and put my hair into a messy bun.

i went into the living roon and find jake watching tv.

he was wearing ;

kahki shorts

blue plain shorts

i look down at my crop tee and see that it's the same color as his shirt.

i look at the kitchen where i find kayjake eating his dog food.

me - "where did kayjake get his food?" i ask

jake - "i bought it. there was a pet shop just across the street. and while i was there, i bought a few other stuff for him"

he turns off the tv and looks at me.

jake - "so you ready?"

i nod and smile at the same time.

* 35 minutes later *

we got into our table and ordered.

after eating we went to starbucks.

well cause duhh. i'm a white girl 💁😂

i ordered a carmel frapp, large.

and jake ordered a mocha frapp, small.

he doesn't like starbucks the way i do.

after recieving our drinks,

we picked a table and sat.

there was silence.

but luckily jake broke it.

jake - "so jane. tonight i'm going on a date with lora at this fancy italian restaurant"

he says taking a sip of his frapp.

i froze.

"wait, what?"

and again. i broke.
