A gravestone with no name or inscription on it can be found in the Pere-Lachaise cemetery. It is positioned far from the wealthy tombs and overtime has been subject to weather and dampness.

Many years ago, someone wrote on the grave in pencil, although the lines can barely be read now.

"He is asleep. Though his mettle was sorely tried,

"He lived, and when he lost his angel, died.

"It happened calmly, on its own,

"The way night comes when day is done."
