After what happened yesterday I didn't got to school. That slap that my mama gave me turned into a bruise. Grandma said I didn't have to go to school because people would be asking questions. I wanted to tell Danielle and Tina about what happened but something's are meant to be told. Not everyone needs to know your business.
I stayed in my room the whole day thinking about what everything would have been like if daddy hadn't gotten cancer and died. BeforeI went to bed Grandma told me to put some ice on my bruise. When I woke up the next morning my bruise went down but it was still noticeable.
I got dressed up in my red and then I headed out the door.

As soon as I got there I went to my locker.
Ren: What happened to you? Did someone finally beat your ass.
Lacey: Did you finally get dumped?
Ren: Shut the fuck up hoe.
Lacey: I'm not the hoe here honey you are.
Ren: At least I have all the boys. Don't no body want you.
Lacey: You mean you have all the boys in your bed.
After I said that Ren slammed her locker door and walked away.
I couldn't do nun but laugh at her because it was so funny. Even when I'm not in the mood I always win.
Danielle: Where were you yesterday Lace? And what happened to your face?
Lacey: Nothing happened.
Tina: Come on Lace we been friends since pre-k. We know when something is bothering you.
Lacey: I'm fine. Can we just leave this damn subject where it is.
Danielle: No we can't. We care about you Lace and want to make sure you are all right.
Lacey: I said I'm fine. I already had to go through this shit at home and I don't need it going on at school too.
I was so mad at them. Sometimes it's like they are smothering me and I hate that shit. I don't need this right now.
Lacey: I will tell y'all everything when I'm ready to talk about it but right now it's none of y'all damn business about what's going on in my life so stop asking.
I left and went to class. I was so mad that I didn't notice that Z was staring at me from across the room.
Lacey: What the fuck you staring at?
After I said that Z turn around in his seat.
I didn't talk to Danielle or Tina for the rest of the day. I didn't even go to lunch I was in the girl's restroom.
I knoe I shouldn't have taken my anger out on them but they are so damn nosy. They don't need to know everything that goes on I'm my life.
