"Right!" Sky shouted from the banister at the top of the stairs, her voice ringing out through most of the house. All who heard her voice immediately turned in her direction in surprise. "I don't care what my parents say – all of you that are here on Christmas, we're not going to work – we're going to have a party!"
That had happened a week ago now, and as Sky woke up on this Christmas morning, she was in the best mood she'd been in in ages.
"Mason," she sang as she opened the door to his bedroom without permission; Mason let out an unintelligible groan as he buried his head under the covers.
"Come on, rise and shine," she said, walking over to his bed and lifting up the blanket.
Quick as lightning, Mason was upright and had pulled the blanket back down on his body, face red. "You can't just pull a blanket off a sleeping guy!" he reprimanded. Upon seeing it was Sky, he also immediately lifted the blanket up to his chin. "Oh, Sky, it's you."
Sky stepped back as she put her hands on her hips. "You act like it's nothing that it's me and yet you pulled your blanket up. I see the training is also starting to pay off a little bit, the muscle definition is starting to look good." Mason blushed even harder and Sky indicated towards his door with her head. "Get up and meet me downstairs in five minutes."
"Gosh, someone's demanding this morning," Mason responded sleepily, now rubbing his eyes in a more relaxed manner seeing ass the excitement had died down a bit. Sky glared at him and he sighed. "Alright, fine. Be down in five minutes."
"Good," Sky said and headed back to the door. As she rested her hand on the doorframe, she turned her head to look at him once more. "And if you're not, I'm coming back up and I'll drag you down in your boxers if I have to."
"You can't do that," he retorted as she left the room and walked towards the stairs.
"Watch me!" she shouted back as she descended them.
If the whole household hadn't been awake already, they definitely were now after her shouting. As Sky reached the entrance hall at the bottom of the stairs, she spotted one of the maids already mopping the floor.
Making a point to walk over, she grabbed the mop out of the maid's and placed it back in the bucket. "What did I say about today? Do you know what day it is?"
"Yes, Miss Sky, but that doesn't change anything—"
"I beg to differ. Today I'm paying you to have fun. In fact, I'm paying you to do me a favour," as she said that, she looked up to the top of the stairs to make sure that Mason wasn't coming down yet; he wasn't. Sky pressed a package into the maid's hands. "Give this to Mason for me, ok?" Without another word, she was off to collect the rest of the household.
The maid was left standing there in a stunned silence as her mistress left, but upon hearing the sound of footsteps descending the stairs, she turned around to have a look and found that Mason was coming down, clearly still too tired for this time in the morning. She quickly hurried to meet him at the bottom of the stairs.
"Good morning, Mason," the maid smiled at him as she held out the package. "This is for you."
"Oh, thank you," Mason said sleepily, taking the package from her with one hand as he rubbed his eyes with the other.
"I think Miss Sky is being a bit shy about it, but it's from her. But don't tell her I told you; I don't know whether she wanted me to tell you or not," the maid said in a more hushed tone.
"Sure," Mason responded in the same hushed tone as he started unwrapping the package inside it; he was rather surprised that a planner made up the contents.
