Luke and I had been in the car for a little over an hour now and we had just gotten to the rest stop. Both of us were glad we finally got there; the car was getting kind of cramped and we were both getting a little antsy.

"Do you wanna eat here, or should we find like a restaurant?" I asked Luke as we got out of the car.

"I don't know. I feel like it would be easier to eat here, but it doesn't really matter to me." Luke looked over at me, smiling.

"Okay, then let's just eat here." I smiled back , walking into the large building.

"Oh gosh," I mumbled, looking around at all of the different options to get food from.

"What?" Luke asked, looking down at me.

"There's so many different places." I said, trying to decide what sounded appealing.

"Well then we will have to narrow down the options." He looked around before looking back down at me. "Do you want Macca's or Burger King?"

"Do I want what?" I asked, confused.

It took a minute before realization flooded over Luke's features. "Sorry, McDonald's or Burger King?"

I looked between the two for a minute before looking up at Luke. "McDonald's."

He smiled at me, grabbing my hand and dragging me towards the small counter. "Good choice."

Once we were standing in front of the McDonald's counter Luke asked me what I wanted. Once I told him I didn't really care, he ordered for the both of us, then paid.

"Luke I could have paid for myself." I sighed.

"Yes, you could have." He started. "But I didn't want you to."

"Luke, I'm a big girl. I can pay for myself."

"Yeah, but you paid for our coffees earlier, so it's my turn to pay."

        "Luke," I sighed.

"Clara," Luke copied me, making me stick my tongue out at him. He did the same, making me laugh.

"We're like children." I smiled at him.

"Maybe. But I'd rather act that way. It makes life more fun." He smiled at me, squeezing my hand which I didn't realize that he was still holding.

'Here's your food sir." The man behind the counter said, handing Luke a tray of food.

"Thanks mate." Luke spoke as we walked away from the counter to find a table to sit at.

Once we found a table, we sat down and grabbed our food from the tray. We both started eating immediately, not realizing how hungry we actually were.

"I love fast food." I said, taking a bite of my hamburger.

        "Me too." Luke said, sighing.

"Why'd you call it Macca's earlier?" I asked him, eating a french fry as I spoke.

"It's a slang term for it from Australia. I'm used to saying it around the guys. I forgot you didn't  know what that meant." Luke said after taking a sip of his soda.

"Oh, well now I do." I smiled a little.

"You learned something new, yay!" Luke clapped like I was a puppy who just learned a new trick.
