Chapter 4

Clarke

When I get to school I'm instantly greeted by Octavia and Raven, who are jumping up and down and squealing like little kids.

"Hey guys. Someone have to much coffee this morning?" I joke

"Clarke, what are you doing tonight night?" Octavia asks

"Sitting at home alone, watching friends. Why?"

"Wrong girl." Raven laughs. "You are coming to Octavia's house with me and we're having a girls night."

"And please don't say no. Cause girls night sucks with just 2 people."

"Alright fine I'll be there." I smile

The bell rings, telling all students to go to their first period class. When we get to class it's just me, Octavia, Raven and Finn at the table today. Jasper and Monty are home sick. As class starts everyone stops talking while Mr. Pike tells us our assignment for the day.

"It's the first Friday of the year. I'm gonna go easy on you guys." The class cheers. "I just want chapters one through fifteen read by the end of class. There short chapters so they'd shouldn't take long. When your done you may play on your phones."

Me and Octavia get the assignment done within 20 minutes. Raven and Finn decided not to actually do it and just play on their phones instead. Suddenly the door to the class room opens and in comes Murphy and another man. The man is tall. He has dark curly hair and tanned skin. They walk over to our table and sit down.

"Bell, what are you doing here?" Octavia whines

"Me and Murphy here got kicked out."

Octavia and the Bell guy keep talking while Murphy turns to me and we start up our own conversation.

"That's her brother." He informs me

"His name is Bell?" I ask

He laughs under his breath. "No. His real name is Bellamy. His sister calls him Bell."

"Got it. Hey, I had a good time last night."

"Yea me too."

"Actually, can we talk after school?" I ask him

"Of course."

School is finally over. I talked to Murphy before he got on the bus. We decided to just be friends. He was nice and all but not my type. I didn't drive today because my car was out of gas. I'm waiting for Octavia and Raven who said they're driving me to my house to get clothes and then back to Octavia's house.

"Hey girl." I hear raven say from behind me

I turn around and see Raven and Octavia, with Bellamy not far behind them.

"Oh yea. By the way, he's the driver." Octavia tells me.

When we get in the car Octavia puts me in the passenger seat while she sits in the back with Raven. Octavia and Raven both fell asleep against the windows.

"How far away is your house?" I whisper to Bellamy

"You don't have to whisper. Their out like lights." He laughs. "And we're going to the movies. They didn't tell you?"

I roll me eyes. "Nope."

"Well that's the plan. And then they want to get coffee and then go to the mall."

I groan.

"What to good for the mall?" He questions.

"I hate the mall."

"Me too. If you want, and Octavia let's you, come join me in the food court. That's where I hang out when I drive them here."

"I might actually take you up on that offer."

After the movie was over we got coffee like Bellamy said. When we got to the mall I made up some lame excuse as to why I couldn't walk all over the two story mall with them.

"I hope your stomach feels better Clarke. See you in a few." Octavia yells as they run off

Me and Bellamy sit across from one another at a table. "So, does your stomach hurt or was that a lie?"

"A lie." I laugh

"You really hate shopping."

"It's not that I hate shopping. I just hate this mall."

"Why?" He asks me

"My Mom would always take me here when we came to visit my Aunt. We'd spend all day here talking and shopping. She's always bring me on my birthday, when I was feeling down, and sometimes just for random shopping sprees."

"Why'd she stop?"

"She umm. She died in a car crash. Her and my father."

"I'm sorry Clarke. I didn't know."

I smile. Not a real one that reaches my eyes but I half smile. "You couldn't have."

We sit there and talk for a little bit before 3 guys walk up to us.

"Bellamy. Hey man who's the girl?" One of the Guys ask as they all sit down at our table

"Clarke this is Atom, Miller and Bryan. Guys this is Clarke."

"Murphy's on his way then we can go." The guy, Atom says.

"Go where?" I ask

"To the bar. Trust me, I know the bouncer. He's dating my sister. He's says he's not, and they both deny it if you bring it up, but they are."

"Hey guys. Oh hey Clarke." Murphy joins the group.

"Hey." I smile at him.

"Well, shall we get going?" Miller asks

"Let's go." Murphy cheers.

Guys, I leave for California tomorrow morning at 7am and I'm so excited. I've been working packing, and making edits for Instagram and writing chapters for this and I think I'm set👍
