Best Friends Brother

Chapter 5

Clarke

Me and Bellamy rode in the canopy covered back of the truck while Atom, Murphy, Miller and Bryan rode in the actual truck. The ride to the bar from the mall was about 15 minutes long. Neither me or Bellamy said anything, and it was kind of awkward. I decided to break the silence.

"So Bellamy. Do this often?"

"Do what?" He asks looking up from his phone.

"Ditch your sister at the mall and go to the bar with your friends." I laugh

"No, usually I'd follow behind her and be her personal bag holder. But then she met Raven and I became her chauffeur."

"I see." I smile

"So, Murphy tells me you two went on a date. How was that?" He questions

"I am not going to talk about my love life, especially with you."

When we get the the bar it's full. We find an empty table while Atom goes and buys us drinks. When he gets back he hands out the beers and we start talking.

"So Clarke, Incase you didn't know Miller and Bryan are dating. Have been for 2 years now." Murphy informs me

"That's cool. I'm bisexual so I totally support you guys." I smile at both of them

We've been at the bar for an hour and a half. I've last count at how many beers we've all had but everyone except Atom is drunk. Suddenly these two guys walk over to our table.

They look at Bellamy and ask "wanna play a round of pool?"

"Your on." Bellamy says

"Bellamy your drunk dude." Atom sighs

"Find a partner and meet us at the table." The guy says and walks over with his buddy.

"Hey princess, you any good at pool?" Bellamy asks me.

"I'm amazing at it." I smirk.

"We're terrible at pool so you'll probably win. But to make it fun throw in 10 dollars each?" One of the guys asks.

Me and Bellamy each put 10 bucks on a nearby table and begin the game.

"You fucking cheated!" Bellamy yells

Since I don't know the rules of pool and only know how to play, I don't know how the guy cheated. But Bellamy did and I was his teammate so I believed him. Sorta.

"We won fair and square. We get the money." The one guy said

I reached to grab the money away from his reach but he pushed me back and I fell on my ass. Bellamy got angry and punched the guy. By this point we both have sobered up a little, me more than Bellamy. He was still a little buzzed but not super drunk. Before I knew it Bellamy and this guy were in a full on fist fight.

"Bellamy! Stop let's just leave!"

I ran up to Atom and told him what happened. He followed me to the fight and broke it up. They were both a bloody mess. Atom told us to call Octavia and Raven so he could take Murphy, Miller and Bryan, who are way more drunk now, home. Atom left and I brought Bellamy to the bathroom. I got a paper towel and wetted it. I started rubbing at the cuts on his face as he winced every time the towel touched his face.

"Why'd you do that Bellamy?"

"Because no man should ever lay hands on a women. Unless it's in a loving way."

"You got into that fight because he pushed me?" I asked, shocked.

"I guess. I don't know."

When I fished washing off the blood we went outside to wait for Octavia.

The car ride home was long and awkward. I sat in the back while Octavia yelled at her brother. She was pissed that he left them at the mall.

When we got to Octavia's house I changed into a pair of her shorts and a tank top to sleep in.  We decided and watching movies all night. Octavia was camp out in the recliner, raven took the couch and I was on the love seat. After the first movie was over both Raven and Octavia were asleep. I grabbed my phone and played on it.

"Can't sleep?" I heard Bellamy say behind me.

I turn around and face him. I shake my head 'no'

He motions for my to come to the kitchen so I follow him. He gets a bottle of water out of the fridge and sits on the counter.

"Thank you. For getting Atom to break up the fight."

I walk over and jump up beside him. "Your welcome."

"You know, I think your the first friend of Octavia's I can actually handle. And by that I mean I don't hate you."

"What about Raven? She and Octavia see to be close."

"Don't tell O this but me and Raven slept together and she kinda hates me now. She doesn't show it but I know she does."

"Wow. That's shocking."

"It wouldn't be if you knew me."

I give him a questioning look and he laughs. He jumps off the counter and leaves the kitchen. "Goodnight Clarke." Is all he says

I've been in California for 2 days now and I'm enjoying it. I get to see my aunt today and tomorrow we're going to San Francisco tomorrow and Santa Cruz after that.
