Chapter 7

Clarke

I wake up to my phone ringing. I check the time and it's 7am. I groan and grab my phone.

"Hello." I say with attitude as I answer the phone.

"Hello Ms. Griffin. This is doctor Oakley with Aradia Hospital. Did you come in yesterday and get 12 stitches in your left hand?"

"This is Clarke. And yes I did. Why?"

"We need you to come back today as soon as you can. We need to check the stitches."

"Okay. I'll be down as soon as possible."

I hang up the phone and try to wake up Octavia and Raven. I shake them but they just push my hands away and go back to sleep. I sigh and get dressed. I could drive myself but holding onto the steering wheel hurts and I'd rather just have someone else drive me.

I go down stairs and there sits Bellamy at the kitchen table, tying his shoes.

"What are you doing up so early princess?"

"I got to go back to the hospital."

"What. Why?" He asks. Almost sounding worried

"They got to check out my stitches. Don't ask my why cause I don't know."

"Here, let me change out of my running clothes and I'll drive you." He offers

"Bellamy you don't have to. Your going for a run I'll be fine by myself."

"No, I'm driving you." 

I decide not to argue with him and allow him to drive me. He goes up stairs to change and we leave.

We stopped at Starbucks on the way to the hospital. Bellamy paid for my vanilla latte. I hold it up and take a picture of it with Bellamy in the background. I caption the picture.

Thanks for bringing me to the hospital, 2 times now. And thanks for the Starbucks😂❣️

I post it on my story.

"Did you really just post that?" Bellamy asks

"I did." I smile

"Octavia's gonna ask questions when she sees it."

"Oh well."

The nurse put the numbing gel on my hand about 10 minutes ago. Me and Bellamy are in here waiting for the doctor to check my stitches. I really hate the doctors.

"Hello Clarke. I'm doctor Tony." The doctor says coming in the room.

"Where's doctor Oakley?" I ask

"He's in surgery. Is this your boyfriend." He points at Bellamy

"He's actually my-" I start but Bellamy cuts me off

"Yes I am her girlfriend. Of 2 years." He smirks

"Well you two make a cute couple. Now let's take a look at your hand."

After he checks my stitches he decided to leave them for a week. After a week he said to come back and they'll take them out and put butterfly bandages on them for the rest of the healing process. He says the cut looks good as of right now and shouldn't get any infections if I keep cleaning it.

"Why did you tell him we were dating?" I slap his arm as we're leaving the hospital

"Why not? We'd be a hot couple." He wraps an arm around my waist and turns me to face him.

Our chest are pressed against each other and I can feel his breath on my lips. We stop talking and laughing and just stare into each other's eyes. He leans in and kisses me. It was a short kiss but it was good. He pulls away and looks at me as if asking for permission. I don't know what came over me but I kissed him back. I pulled his face to mine and tangled my hands in his hair. He rests his hands on my waist and we stand there kissing in the parking garage of the hospital. After what felt like forever I pulled away. We're both breathless and we just stare at each other for a few seconds.

"Bellamy-"

"I know. We shouldn't have done that. Your Octavia's best friend."

"No. I was gonna say, that was amazing."

He smirks and kisses my cheek. He leaves his arm around my waist and we walk back to the car.

When we get home Bellamy goes straight up to his room. Octavia and Raven rush over to me.

"Clarke you had me worried sick. Where did you go." Octavia bear hugged me

"I had to go to the hospital. For my stitches." I hold up my hand.

"Why'd Bellamy bring you?" Raven asks almost sounding disgusted

"I tried to wake you guys up to bring me but you didn't. I was gonna drive myself but he told me that he would drive me since he knows how much driving makes my hand hurt."

"We're sorry." Octavia says

"Let's go watch a movie."

We go to Octavia's room and decide to binge watch keeping up with the Kardashian's. It's not my favorite show but I decided to just play on my phone and let them watch their show.
