FEBRUARY

~

Bailey laid her head on Zach's stomach as they laid on her roof looking up at the stars, the cool breeze brushing over their skin. Drew was out with Jeff on their usual hunt for a party, the Atkins boy hoping to get the idea of them being together through her brother's head, and her parents were out of town on a business trip.

'Aye, what's the go with Miss Bradley's compliment bags?' She asked as she tilted her head to look at him.

'They've been going on since the start of the week and only now you bring them up,' Zach retorted.

'I'm just saying. I'm sick of checking mine, it's always full.'

'At least you get some.'

'Aw, come on, Zachy boy. I give you compliments face to face all the time. You don't need randoms doing my job.'

The boy chuckled as he shook his head, 'And I love your compliments, but get one from someone else every once and a while is nice, you know?'

'Yeh, I get it. But it's fucking annoying.'

She felt him let out an amused huff, a smirk on his face as he looked down at her. She closed her eyes when he kissed her forehead, smiling softly to herself.

'What happened at Rosie's?' She asked.

'What do you mean?' Zach replied.

'Marcus was saying something about Hannah pushing him onto the floor, but I wasn't really listening.'

'Yeh, uh... He was being a dick so she pushed him away after he sat next to her. Don't know what happened... But I felt guilty so I went back and sat with her to make sure she was ok. She was so upset, Bay.'

'She's a sensitive one, that girl. But Marcus can put up a golden boy front at school, he's completely different outside of it.'

The boy hummed in agreement, letting his fingers run through her hair.

'So, what's the go with you and Drew at the moment? It's been pretty tense,' Zach queried.

'Don't worry about it,' Bailey waved him off.

'By you saying that, doesn't help anything.'

She sighed, moving to sit up; bringing her knees to her chest as she wrapped her arms around them.

'Bay?' The boy suggested as he sat up.

'Drew's being a dick,' She muttered.

'What's going on?'

'I like this guy, but he doesn't like it. So, he said some pretty nasty shit to try and stop me, but he only ended up hurting me instead.'

'Has he said anything?'
