Bailey sorted through her locker, trying to find the book she needed amongst the mess. She was growing frustrated as she shoved old books aside, her bag hanging off her shoulder; the zipper wide open and gaping. She glanced down the hall to look at Monty as he stood before his own locker, pausing when she spotted Tyler approaching the boy.

'Shit,' She whispered.

She shoved all her things back into her locker, pushing it shut as quickly as she could. But, she wasn't quick enough. She closed her eyes for a second, slowly stepping forward.

'I want an apology,' Tyler demanding.

Monty turned to look at him as he slammed his locker shut, 'What?'

'I want you to say you're sorry. For what you did.'

'No idea what you're talking about.'

'Say you're sorry or I'll take you down... And Taylor and Kenneth.'

Monty nodded, seemingly not believing a word leaving the boy's mouth. Tyler's gaze flicked to Bailey for a second as she came up to stand behind Monty, the De La Cruz boy peaking over his shoulder at her.

'Yeah? What about Bryce?' He asked as he looked back to Tyler; 'Are you gonna take him down?'

'Bryce?' Tyler stammered.

'Come on, you remember. No one did anything at this school without him saying go. You think you're going to get an apology out of him?'

'H-He told you to do it?'

'And he's gone, right? Out of your life. Ty-Ty, nothing happened to you that hasn't happened to a hundred guys. It's nothing. Get over it.'

Monty turned and threw his arm around Bailey's shoulders, leading her away. She peered over her shoulder to look at Tyler's trembling form, letting out a soft sigh as she leant her head on Monty's shoulder.

'You want to come over this afternoon?' He asked.

'Yeh,' She nodded.

'Good.'

She chuckled, walking into the classroom beside him.

Bailey sat at the dinner table with Monty and his mother, Mila, eating away at the meal before her. She was glad to see Monty relaxed, his father away at work for a few more hours. She laughed at her best friend, shaking at her head at his grin. She looked to his mother for a brief second, her gaze flicking to the bruise under her cheek that was hidden under foundation that was wearing off.
