Bailey stared at her father as he stood over her, his face full of concern. She didn't say anything, his words ticking over in her mind; not sure if he was being serious or not. His eyes were red from crying, his wife nowhere to be seen.

'What?' She whispered.

'Get out of here,' He stated; 'Here's a thousand, go see Kat or whoever. Just get out of town for a while. Have a break from all this.'

'But what about you and Mum?'

'We'll be ok. I think it'll do us good to focus on each other whilst you're away.'

She nodded, 'Ok.'

'Ok... Uh, good. Pack your bag, I'll drop you at the airport.'

'You don't even know where I'm going?'

'If I know you well enough, Bailey, you'll get as far away from here as you can. Kat will be waiting at the airport for you when you arrive.'

The girl stood and wrapped her arms around her father, holding him close.

'Thank you,' She whispered.

'We leave in ten,' He replied after kissing her hair.

She stepped back and turned away to begin to pack for Port Lauderdale, Florida, to see her best friend. She moved slowly, her eyes tired. She stuffed a few things into a bag, knowing she could always borrow off Kat if she needed. The girl threw her back pack onto her back, plodding down the stairs and out the car.

Bailey walked through the tunnel and out into the airport, her back pack hanging from one shoulder. The flight had been long and boring, the girl having slept most of the way. She looked around as she came to a slow, eyes searching for her best friend.

'Bailey!' Kat's voice hit her ears.

She spun around to find the familiar face in the crowd charging at her, her feet moving to meet her. She wrapped her arms around Kat when she collided with her body, tears instantly springing in her eyes; sobs leaving her mouth. The girls held each other close, Kat letting her best friend cry into her shoulder. People moved around them, hardly sparing them a second glance.

Kat shushed her best friend softly as she ran her hand over her hair, her own tears dripping down her cheeks. She didn't move them, continuing to stand in the middle of the walk way. The Matthews girl let her emotions pour out right then and there, Kat the only other person she had known almost right from birth.

'I'm right here,' Kat whispered; 'Let's go home.'

She nodded, finally stepped back; quickly wiping at her tears. She sent a tight smile toward Kat as she grabbed her hand, leading her through the airport and out to her car. Bailey's crying had ceased the moment she left the building, going extremely quiet. She let her eyes drift over the new city around her, more tears burning in her eyes at the thought of how much Drew and Jeff would love it.
