The bell jingled above the door as Bailey pushed it open, stepping into the coffee filled air of Monet's. She scrolled through her phone, never looking up as she approached the counter. She was on her way to her school, half asleep and regretting getting out of bed. She stepped up to the counter when the person in front of her, shutting her phone off to look up at the person before her. But, she paused when she saw Justin, cocking a brow at him.

'Since when do you have a job?' She muttered.

'Uh, I kinda needed one. You know, to afford shit,' He stammered.

'Right.'

'What can I get you?'

'Iced coffee to go. And don't spit in it.'

He smiled slightly at the comment, watching the ghost of a smile flitter across her lips. She paid him before she stepped aside, turning her phone back on as she leant back against a table.

'Bay,' Justin called.

She sent him a tight smile as she accept the cup off him, tingles shooting up her her arm when her fingers accidentally brushed over his. Justin's eyes shot away from her face as the same sensation dragged up his arm, lowering his hand to the bench top. She whispered a thanks before she walked away, her head low as the bell jingled over her head once more.

'Bailey,' Zach hollered as she walked out onto the field.

'Hey,' She smiled.

She was glad the day was finally over, already sick of summer school; only having been there two weeks. She wanted her days back, but she supposed she deserved it as such.

'How was school?' He teased.

'Piss off, man,' She shoved him playfully.

'So, it sucked?'

'I want my life back.'

'Not long now.'

'It only just started.'

She slouched into him dramatically, groaning as he caught her with laughter. He lead her down to the field where the boys were stretching, a chorus of cheers sounding as they eventually spotted her. She waved them off, moving to greet Coach Kerba as she hit his fist with her own.

'How're you feeling?' He asked.

'Better,' She nodded.

'Good. Any news?'

'No. Still the same. No running around, no tackling, no weight lifting.'

'What about yelling at these fools?'
