Mafia, no wonder these monsters hid away. In a way they ran the underworld, people nobody dare cross. However, I had to admit that these two monsters were not what I would have ever expected, especially not from ones that were involved with the mafia. These monsters seemed kind , timid and sweet. Their kind nature did help to bring me around I must admit, edging closer to the plate of spaghetti that was just beginning to be eaten. It was so tempting. I just couldn't ignore the smell that lingered in the air any longer. My mouth began to water uncontrollably. I hadn't eaten properly for months and I wasn't going to waste an offer of free food if presented to me. I looked up at Papyrus pleadingly. He smiled kindly and pushed the plate closer to me. I tucked in greedily, not worrying about my manners at that point. I was just so hungry. Sans chuckled and finally stood up from his chair, hands in his pockets.
" I'm goin' to get Lil' Pup " Papyrus just nodded and smiled, sitting next to me and filling my now empty plate full once again. I was glad for the hospitality of the two skeletons, knowing full well that their actions could have been considered as weak, something that I expected was frowned upon in this line of work. I smiled at the taller skeleton, giving my silent thanks. My mouth was too busy eating the food that I was given to thank him in words. For the first time in months I felt relaxed, my heart uplifted and free. These two monsters had freed my spirit again, relighting my faith in humanity. Strange, it took two monsters to do such a job. The irony.
" Ya got a lil' sauce on your face Big Pup " I watched silently as Papyrus wiped away the sauce from my cheeks. I smiled continuing to eat. Papyrus didn't seem to mind my lack of concentration, it was like he understood what I had been through and was willing to do whatever possible to make me better. For a split second I look up from my meal, hearing steps entering the room behind us. I looked behind, seeing Sans strut into the room, holding something behind him. My guess was that it was Lil' Pup, whoever that was.
" C,mon kid. Say hello " To my surprise a child moved away from the protection of the red clothed skeleton. They were smartly dressed with tidy brown hair. I smiled to the child who hid away once more. Things were finally making sense now. Could these monsters have a soft spot for unfortunates like me and Lil' Pup? Only time would tell.
